Glock 29 Muzzle Flash

This is my Glock 29, shooting hot reloads at night. The loads are 155gr Hornady XTPs over Blue Dot powder (Hornady maximum charge), CCI 300 primers.

Nice example of Blue Dot flash and bang. This bullet should be traveling around 1300fps. Serious power out of such a small gun.

They are a lot of fun. If you're talking about Blue Dot in 10mm, the best is with lighter bullets. This was with 155gr Hornady XTPs and 12.9gr Blue Dot (CCI 300 primers, COAL 1.260"). Anything over about 12.7gr makes a nice flash, especially out of the G29, but just realize that's getting near max. I bet some 135gr bullets with 13.0gr+ would make some awesome flashes, too.

I kinda want to load up some blue-dot rounds just for the flash.
