The thing I like most about Bisqwit is that he actually answers questions instead of being a wiseass about it.

"Essentially at this age, the chances of any sort of relationship ever happening that wouldn't be totally lopsided in terms of experience or dissonant in terms of worldview and values are looking pretty much zero" Bisqwit, just remember that if a relationship is something that you want, then your chances aren't anywhere near zero, despite what you might resign yourself to thinking. You do have to be open and willing, and that can be very hard. Just remember, when you're feeling insecure about yourself, a great many people subscribe to your channel because they enjoy you! You're a great joy for many people, don't forget that.

I can feel sincerity on your videos. Besides being an outstanding programmer, you're a great person. Wish you the best.

I have such a huge respect for your talent, patience and calm personality. The fact that you resign yourself to a life without a loving partner almost hurts me. You bring so much joy, knowledge and fun through your programming and videos to thousands if not millions of people. Insecurities have held me back at many points in my life, so I understand the strugge.

42? Damn, I always thought you were in your mid-twenties.
  • @Lattamonsteri
That ending seemed a bit sad :( i hope clouds of self-doubt and sadness will soon lift from harassing bisqwit

I just wanted to say: When I first started programming I've found your channel and was completely astonished by the NES emulator coding video because i nearly didn't understand anything. I looked up to you and you inspired me to go all in with c++. Over the years I noticed that I understood more and more of your code and that motivated me to get even better. I just wanted to say thank you. You had a big role in my path with programming without you even knowing it and I'm positive that I'm not the only one. So long story short: Your work is phenomenal and very much appreciated. You have a positive effect on the world of programming. Keep it up!

I love how honest he is talking about his private stuff. I feel you and I hope you are happy! You’re not too old and I’m sure you will find the right one. Keep it up and feel hugged! Much love sent from Germany :)
  • Surprised for seeing you replying some quite personal questions so naturally. I wish all the best for you Bisqwit sir, you are a huge inspiration of mine!

Hey Bisqwit, Just wanted to say you are a huge inspiration for a new programmer like me. The amount of knowledge you have about computers is unimaginable, to the point I doubt I will ever reach the same level. Really good stuff ! Looking forward to your videos, N.
  • Your videos have helped me with my depression, just want to say thanks.
  • @Crytoma
Highly polished, entertaining and informative content. Thanks for everything Bisqwit. Dziekuje.

Watching your videos is like looking into a mirror for me. 41 and single and at this point leaving the man cave sounds scary. I had a couple of relationships when I was younger however my interests were far outside the norm. I started programming and tinkering with assembly as a kid in the 90's while the other kids were all about sports and concerts. Moved on to game hacking, mainly online games, for a few years and recently I've put a few game mods out (believe it or not it all started from game password cracking like you). There are few people to share your interests but you are not alone.

שלום, ביסקוויט! :) Thank you very much for being honest and answering all of our (somewhat repetitive) questions. Never give up on finding a relationship. Loving someone brings the best out of you in every aspect; this will eventually translate into higher quality videos for us to enjoy, so I'm somewhat biased ;) Keep up the great work and GOD bless! :)
  • @jneberhardt

Such a honest and upstanding guy! Passionate going his way and teaches thousand of people by doing what he loves. I really hope he will get the love he (and all of us) deserves.

Hey Bisqwit! Your programming videos have helped inspire me while I've been in University studying software engineering. I'm set to graduate after this fall semester. Keep up the good work!
  • @More_Row
Appreciate your always very pointy honesty Joel. Keep up the great work on your videos.
