Goose bumps the entire song. Good dreampop sounds.

I was just a kid when I first heard the song “Dreams” by The Cranberries. I was instantly captivated by the late Dolores O’Riordan’s dulcet vocals and reverb-washed layers that drove the song forward. Through a synesthetic convergence of sound and sight, the song would make me feel exhilarated, as though I were flying through clouds. This sonic dreamscape would create the proper conditions for imaginative reveries and contemplation. As I grew older, I came to understand that this sound could be categorized as Dream Pop/Shoegaze. I have just discovered this track, and it elicits the same exhilarating effect for me as “Dreams” by The Cranberries. Thank you for your work, Hatchie!

So glad I found this! Distant relatives: Smiths, Cocteau Twins, The Sundays

John Lennon's '64 Rickenbacker guitar, perfect sound; the style reminds me of 90's Ride or Lush. Excellent!
  • Lead singer has such a great voice. It's beautiful and badass in equal measure. Fantastic song
  • this has to be one of those perfect pop songs. you can wear your influences and still do your own thing—that's what most pop music is about really

Just discovered this. Sounds so good, I'm a sucker for shoegaze tunes. That initial guitar chord sounds a lot like Chapterhouse's Pearl.

This is possibly my fave Aussie song of the last few years. Big call I know. But this is more than just a song, it gives me nostalgia for memories that I had 20 years before it came out!
  • L'une des plus belles chansons jamais composée ... C'est un genre de miracle d'harmonie millimètrée....From "the boy with the Horn in his side" to "sûre"

it sounds like shoegaze without distortion and overdrive
