Injora RC Crawler Inserts: Unbiased Testing and Comparison

This is it. This marks the end of foams for crawler tires.
Foams still had a chance when it took $100+ to get a set of inserts...but with Injora selling them for $20 for 4....THE FIGHT IS OVER!

I test the red (hardest) and blue (medium) inserts from Injora in this video, but they also just released a softer spec that is green. I will pick some of those up very soon.

Are there better inserts out there? I expect so. But are they worth the HUGE price difference? Hard to justify.

Injora is finding its way into almost all our crawlers one way or another. The blue inserts are awfully stiff unless it's a heavier rig. We just started trying the green ones and they're far better for light to midweight crawlers. We're sold. Also they fit the new Toyos from Proline perfectly!
  • Great presentation Troy. I love how you always make a science experiment out of some of your product reviews. The biggest benefit to me for these gel inserts is that they keep the sidewall a bit more rigid than the foams and of course the lack of breakdown and deterioration you get from foams getting wet. I will be ordering a few set of the green and blues in the near future for my rigs! Thanks for the in depth review buddy! 😎👊🏼👍🏻🤗

Glad to see someone else giving props to Injora on these inserts. I’ve tried the blue and the green sets now and they are awesome. You can NOT beat the performance at this price point. Awesome video man!

Excellent video ! Good facts and research. Truck is running great. This vid has helped my decision process in the inserts.

Great video, very informative. I have the ascent and was looking at these inserts. Couldn't have been more helpful content, think I might go for blue or green inserts.

Nice !!!!! I love the innovation in this hobby!! I do not have a crawler I have never had one. I've always been interested in them maybe someday. 🤞

I think its nice too have a good alternate against the double high prized 3D foams from the premium brands ,thank you Injora.I hope for 2.2 3D foams for my Bomber too.
  • oops, at 8:35, don't forget about weight transfer to the rear when ascending, great video so far. Love you demeanour, aaaaaand subbed!

I have them they aren't big enough for proline hyrax 1.9's, but i just "shimmed" it out with thin upholstery foam, and its now really good. I have injora rims as well.

Also I think a hybrid could be very interesting. Like a two stage foam only having a foam on the outer portion to get the deformation wanted to grip and the antifoam for sidewall stiffness.
