A shop full of home made tools used to make home made tools that can be used to make home made tools. Love it.
  • @Shuriath.
I love the confidence in the craft, but watching you put your hands in front of the grinder every time terrified me.

Hey wait a minute! What’s that setup you have for cleaning the bars with? Awesome!
  • This man's got more tricks up his sleeve than David Copperfield.

I used to flatten large slabs of Redwood decades ago, an 8 foot straight edge and a big power plane was the first step followed by belt sanding and then finish sanders. You do it all day every day and you get very fast and good at it. For a tiny slab like that I would power plane it way faster than a router could.

You have quite literally given me loads of ideas , where this kind of set up can be used ! Love it .

Well done mr Alexander, will definitely make one following your example. Greetings from South Africa

If you're asking yourself: what the point of it?, Fast forward to 6m 20s to get an idea. There are probably thousands of applications for this simple elegant idea.......the old adage "get to the point quickly" is central to everything; not just speechmaking.....Best wishes to all, John, Perth, Australia.
  • There is sooooooooo much flex in that thing.. wow.. Watching you push down on it every pass, and seeing the bars totally flex by a TON... unreal..
  • @brotherjg
A useful tip: Show the clever idea in action for a brief moment at the beginning of the video...well done sir!

Love the concept and admire the build, however, I would never depend on a battery powered router with a painfully dull bit to tackle end grain planing like this.
  • @maffafafew
Love the way you reach over the spinning grinder wheel when cutting stock to length 😆
  • This is an excellent video. I have always wanted to know the most effective way of amputating my hand with an angle grinder.

As soon as I saw the ball bearings I knew this was going to be on my list of favorite videos from your channel!

Hello Master sh beautiful idea beautifully done good job
  • @HHHGeorge
Very clever and innovative. I liked the ingenuity you displayed but how did you get rid of all those router lines off the top of the timber slab after you finished routing?
