A couple of notes: - In measure 22 I mistakenly played the fifth 16th note as a Bb instead of a D. I recorded this etude a year ago and honestly didn't realize that I learned that partial wrong until just a few weeks ago 😅 Make sure y'all get back up to D for that note! - I take a breath after the first note of measure 9 instead of measure 5. Personally, I like extending the first phrase without a breath until measure 9 because it cadences on the i in measure 9 instead of on the V (or dim vii) in measure 5, the former of which sounds more final. The marked breath is also such a short ways into the piece that it feels unnatural to me to breathe there. However, if you want to be safe for the purpose of the auditions, breathe in measure 5.

hold up this is oddly similar to a book i have it’s Sachse 28 studies book for trumpet and this is oddly similar just a few minor changes. do you know if this was perchance an interpretation of what i’m playing or if mine could be an interpretation of that piece

This was an etude we used for TMEA when I was in high school! Sometime between ‘14 and ‘17!
