It's true, octopus' suckers are highly sensitive, they have nerves capable of some low level processing which communicates with a 'senior' nerve of sorts in the arm. Each of their arms is both capable of communicating with one another as well as acting pretty much independently from one another. They're truly amazing creatures

This is one of the biggest treasures one could find in diving. I'm jelly. For those that don't know. This octopus could turn this dive into a nightmare if you didn't respect it. Even small octopuses can wreak havoc on a diver by pulling at their gear. Sucking to their face. All sorts of crazy stuff. This was a dream encounter and both animals seemed to offer mutual respect.

I found this surprisingly emotional to watch, I often forget there's other animals on this planet with their own daily affairs and struggles aside humans, let alone myself.
