  • Player housing. Maybe an area the size of a Guild Hall in which you can actually build your own home with the materials you have sourced from the world. With public and private (party/squad invite only) areas. The public areas could even be a location for story invading your personal stuff.

The one thing I want from Guild Wars 3 - if there are mounts in GW3 then they need to be in the world, there needs to be wild versions of them. For example, if GW3 has skimmers they need to exist outside of one renown heart. You should see them in the wild. And there might be different species of skimmers to reflect the various skins we can unlock for them.

One of the things I discovered I really like about Guild Wars 2 is that it values my time, especially at the minute because life is coming at me fast and I can’t play consistently. If the average MMO gamer is in their 30’s then you have a job, you have a family and you can’t just throw everything up in the air and game solidly. One of the weirdly reassuring things at the minute is GW2 is there when I need it and when things are over I’m not going to have to grind myself back to a whole new baseline
  • @BadWolfNeron
Honestly, as I’ve seen with modern games having a “sequel”, I hope GW3 does 1 thing similar to OV2; that is your cosmetics and stuff you paid/grinded is adapted and ported to the new game. Esp when considering the things in GW2 are fairly expensive and/or a real time sink to farm. Unlocking new cosmetics for your characters feels great and I hope we don’t lose them.

No Loot Treadmill. Largos playable race. Holy Trinity w/ subclasses. Future story setting.
  • @MusPuiDiTe
YES! the phasing of the maps based on the story step you are in is something that should be already introduced in GW2: it's the perfect hybrid for bringing up the LWS1 ideas and style and have the precise map design and replayability we have now (I want to see a Verdant Shore in Orr since forever). For GW3 i want actual AI powered enemies, and maybe AI NPC dialogues. AI could be incredible to improve on dynamic events too!

Love to see Dervish and Ritualist to make a come back!

Playeble race~> Kodans (bears) and 🐣Tengu(chickens)🐾🐾🐾🐾

Idea for GW3, WvWvW just for Guilds. So, true Guild Wars for real❣️❣️❣️❣️❣️❣️

How can we make your voice heard by ANet directors ? Recent story & narrative is disappointing to so many of us especially those who find themselves in 40+ age group (not just my feeling but based on many comments I have read and heard). At that point we need a senior director stepping into the narrative team and giving them some reality check. How can you immerse yourself in the most recent story while feeling strongly that it lacks depth and lacks credibility in execution (check for instance Mukluk review of the recent SOTO story update and the grand finale of it). I would like to see a more serious attitude from ANet towards us veterans community who have been with the franchise since 2005. Your comments are spot on. Thank you Fornax !

Skritt race best race. All run from Skritt! I would also like a clearer divide when it comes to the armor. I've been playing this game for years and I never completely understood the armor system. The game I personally think is hurt by the 'no holy trinity' idea because yes you have freedom. But it's also confusing to get into.
  • @phoenixtwolf
    1. The trinity (i was happy when I first heard it was not going to be on in gw2) but now seems even worse then having the trinity so have a trinity 2. OPEN WORLD ABSOLUTE 3. I agree with ever thing said on here. 4. Hall of Monuments -- Here is something I have thought about for a long time and that is a (if its in the future) you can have 1 ONE charter from GW2 be transfused in a story line (it will start at lvl1 in GW3) but everyone will see this charter as a hero from GW2..... I KNOW IKNOW CRAZY lol but I still like the idea of being able to have one charter go to the future as a hero form the past.

In addition to the Class identity, I'd really like some more Racial storylines. I really loved my experiences when I first started as a Charr, and Human etc but then you get funneled into the bigger narrative and it's fine. But then I'd love to go back sometimes. Inbetween expansions let me go help the Black Citadel progress, or deal with the God's fallout in Divinity's Reach, you know? Kind of in the vein as you were saying - making your actions feel like they're affecting the 'Living' World. I also agree about the PvE group content. The fact that dungeons were ENTIRELY abandoned after launch hurt. I don't really jive with fractals due to the agony resistance stuff and them having a very...dedicated community that feels obtuse to get into. I also really, really want a group finder. I used to think it was cheesy in WoW compared to the oldschool method of grouping with people, but as a nearly 30 year old with not a lot of free time to game, I want to just be able to hop into a totally pugged raid (nerfed down, albeit) or dungeon so I can at least experience the content. As it stands as a GW2 player since launch, I've still never bothered to Raid, Do strikes, or do most fractals because my launch guilds disbanded after I stopped playing, then since I came back it's just a lot of effort to get into a guild, try and get things scheduled etc.
  • This is definitely a topic to explore and have fun with! I’m going through think about details and post more when I’ve got it out together, but most of all, the reaper class must be a core class!
  • @DanielLintott
In terms of recompense, I would much prefer some sort of merging of the wardrobe of gw2 in to gw3, where you keep what you’ve already unlocked while also adding new ways to earn gw2 skins for completely new players within gw3. It would be a massive slap in the face to make players re-earn skins/or legendaries they already got in gw2. And so all new loot and rewards for gw3 would have to be completely new. No recycled skins. Maybe lore wise, it could be that your gw2 account/character is your gw3 character’s benefactor/donor.
  • @Avenrise
My hopes if GW3 is to be a thing: 1) The map representing the current year with changes, however minor, happening over time using phasing or instancing. 2) More filler being CONTINUALLY added to the map. Things to read, new events, new bosses that pop up over time, new NPCs to speak to with added lore or just some flavour, small areas that open up and jumping puzzles being added to areas. 3) Bring back the Personality system and use it in the same way that Wildstar used their 'Paths' system. Reaching x in one of the traits opens up unique open world opportunities such as mob arenas for those considered Barbaric or access to unique areas as you use your charm to sweet talk someone into granting you access. I'd also want this to be a perminant choice based on character- no swapping and changing on the fly to access everything. 4) Masteries that give you a choice between bonuses, earn once but choose for each character. This somewhat relates to 3) in that your choices affect your playstyle and grant you unique bonuses/access to areas. With this one I would have you be able to change for a fee(not gems). 5) Focus from ANET. The only instanced content going forward should be Fractals(renamed to Dungeons), and Raids but with one minor change- able to teleport directly to the boss should you wish(for differing rewards). They'd effectively be Strikes at that point. 6) All instanced content having an open world version. 7) Housing. From release.

Probably not gonna happen but i want full character/account transfer. People have spent hundreds and thousands of dollars via gem store . I think gw3 should definitely take that into consideration.
