"Thank you strange land fish!"

"I know what she's doin'. She's showing us that she's all free." omg, my heart.
-
I cried. Beautiful. I hope she is living a happy wild life, free from constraints.

That child was taught the most important lesson of her life that day, a lesson we all need in our lives. Thank you for sharing this, it was beautiful

Breached 40 times!? I imagine the young whale like an excited toddler jumping for joy. My heart...

This gave me the chills.Thank you for saving her ❤

I just saw this in 2024 and it is amazing! It makes me think that ANYONE who goes out in a boat should ALWAYS carry cutting implements every time they go out because you NEVER KNOW when you will see an animal in need. Everyone should have a kit with heavy duty scissors, etc. just like they have a first aid kit. What a gift to be able to save a life like that.

Sometimes the crazy YouTube recommendation algorithm really gives you some gold.

Wow. Grown up man teary-eyed watching this. Thank for your big hearts.

Humpback whales have been known to protect seals from shark and killer whales by shielding them under their fins. That shows a sense of compassion and a willingness to put it's own life in danger to save another. THAT is powerful.
-
We are endangering the lives of all these majestic sea creatures by being so ignorant of the trash we're leaving in the sea. Thanks to people like this group who care enough to help.

The little kid saying she is showing off her freedom was so cute

A true spark of hope for humanity on planet earth.

I am forever amazed at how creatures can allow us to help them and then they show their gratitude.

Gill net is banned in many countries but that doesn’t stop it being used. It’s terrible for seals who play with it - it gets stuck on seals and, as they grow, it slices into their bodies until they die - some have been almost decapitated. Ocean Conservation Namibia is a group of 5-7 people who spend their days saving entangled seals. We can support their work by becoming patreons and donating monthly to their cause. Whales, seals, turtles and all sea creatures need our help.

Oh what a wonderful moment! And the little one at the end saying “ she’s showing us she is free!” Well done those people ! Such obvious understanding in the whale! As another has said: such grace and intelligence as it came near the boat.

I knew someone who was involved with helping a humpback whale. There was a group of people who freed the whale of a lot of fishing line. After it was freed, the whale went to each person and made eye contact with them as if to express its gratitude. What an experience for those people!
