I would prefer Tesla to sell the Bot at cost and then software as as service to generate recurring income. Easier for someone to pay $10k up front and then $500/month for however many years. Wouldn't Tesla earnings be much higher this way just like RoboTaxi?

From what i see i think the bot will be limited more by its physicality than its AI. The human form is incredibly flexible in the real world. A far more human like iteration like in 'I Robot' will be game changer

there is still a really good chance the Bot is easier to achieve than robotaxi at scale. My gut tells me we have yet to hit the final road blocks that prevent us from achieving robotaxi at scale.

If it cost 10 grand to build a robot, I think it would be fair to sell it for 30,000 that would give him a huge profit and still be cheap enough for everybody else to buy it. And it would really reward the shareholders.

If regulators insist on Tesla insurance, how can Ford license it? Tesla’s competitive edge in the insurance biz is that they know the true cost to repair. They will not have any controls on non-Tesla vehicles. Thus they need to partner the risk.
