Thanks for the video! I dried the petals on an aluminum tray lined with parchment paper in our convection oven under the bread proof setting, which is 100ºF. In my opinion even 100ºF is kind of high for drying flowers for herbal use, so I did spurts of 30 minutes on and several hours off for 24 hours. This morning the petals were still somewhat damp so i'm I'm finishing them off in a glass jar with desiccant. I'm looking forward to giving it a try. If it's good we have a lot more dandelion flowers to pick.

We have found that if you leave the green part on that is not bitter so we leave ours on. A dehydrator works better because you are drying the flowers not cooking them. A dehydrator works lower temps so it is better than a stove. It takes longer but that is the reason you use it. It’s not about how quick you can do it, it is about quality.

I can't wait to see what you do with them!

Thank you for showing how to dehydrate the petals. I have a dehydrator but I think it's quicker the way you did it. I have been making dandelion salads for the past few weeks trying to get the good nutrients into me. Then I thought I want to keep this going so the tea is a great idea. Thank you and have a great day! God Bless You!

I eat a couple of small handfuls of fresh raw dandelion flowers every day when they are in bloom. They heal my body and give me energy. Truly an amazing herb.

I have an old drying rack that I plop on top of a clothing rack & there my dandelions dry. Once dry I pull the yellow petals from the green bitter flower base. I store them in a glass jar. I do this in certain cases. For instance I started the process of collecting the flowers only to discover I didn't have all the ingredients I needed for the salve I want to make. So I did this to give me some time to get to the store or buy online to get needed items. Thanks for sharing your method. I'm going to try that next. My yard is a field of dandelions.☺️✌🏻🫶🏻

Dehydrator helps!

Also get a pump to vacuum pack it in the mason jar.

So how long do they keep in the mason jar when you do it this way?
-
Could dry them with a dehydrator

Also vac seal your jars
