As a marching 100 alumni. They look great. New uniforms and everything. We had the Presidential 10 Drum Majors. I’m so lucky and proud to have been and always be a part of the Marching 100. Class of 2000

The "100" is still the "100." Some things just never change. Fond memories of what happened down on the "patch," and Dr. Foster's famous last words, "Let's do it again, gentlemen!" The "100" was all male back then - just the musicians, no flags or frills. Doc - a.k.a. "the Law" - used to say, "We don't need all that stuff to make our band look good!" I remember the band still on the practice field - a.k.a. "the Patch" - long hours after the football team was already in the cafeteria for dinner. Some of the team used to come down after dinner to watch the "100" practice. I was on that snare drum line in 1968 (my sophomore year), but had to leave FAMU that same year for medical reasons before the season even started. It remains a big part of my foundation even to this day. To this day, the "100" is the most imitated marching band in the world. Does anyone out there remember that the "100" did the half-time show for Super Bowl III in Miami? It was the first Super Bowl officially called "the Super Bowl." They also did the half-time show the last time the Cleveland Browns won a championship (1964). That is when I first saw them (I'm from Cleveland). I could go on...

I remember going to see the FAMU Marching 100 back in the 90s. They used to pack the stadium just to see them. Ol how I wish i could go back in time.

Wow! Those young people have it down! Amazing precision, amazing coordination….Band was the only thing that kept me in school during high school, Class of ‘75. I never went to college so I wasn’t able to be part of a team like this! Y’all have a new fan and follower. Thank you for bringing those memories back!
  • Nobody does it better than FAMU.been watching them do this sis the 60"s and they still bring joy to my soul every time i see them.

It’s like a reborn FAMU for the future! Alumni of the older SWD. We learned from you what greatness is. RIP Robert Champion, SWD and FAMU Drum Major! 🙏🏾

As a graduate of Florida A&M University, class of 1977, the Marching 100💯 is still the standard in Marching bands, period. The combination of sound quality, marching precision and the high bar and legacy set by Dr. Foster still exist today. As they say, often imitatated and never duplicated is the 💯. My nights in Gibbs Hall close the “Patch” were a experience like non other because it was inspiring to see a band with the commitment to excellence be a part of the drive to get my education and graduate. Rattler for life 🐍🐍🐍

  • Greetings from Michigan! In high school I attended there summer band camp 2 years in a row back in early 2000's (02-03 i believe) FAMU is where I wanted to attend for college, but then life happen and I wasn't able to go! Memories are still strong and one of the things I wish I could've been was FAMU alumni! Love the school and I Love the band! Enjoy your time here guys, you'll remember it for life!
  • The look and sound was great from what was shown. I’m just sad the stands were empty as people didn’t get to see all the hard work this group has done to get to this point. Keep it up.
  • The Marching 100. FAMU graduate Class of '66. So very proud of my school. Beautiful colors. None like this Band. Still in style with their formations. Hollar from Palm Beach County in Boynton Beach, Florida
