When young adventurer Laios and his company are attacked and soundly thrashed by a dragon deep in a dungeon, the party loses all its money and provisions...and a member!
They're eager to go back and save her, but there is just one problem: If they set out with no food or coin to speak of, they're sure to starve on the way!
But Laios comes up with a brilliant idea: "Let's eat the monsters!"
Slimes, basilisks, and even dragons...
none are safe from the appetites of these dungeon-crawling gourmands!

I really hope they manage to get all the weird and funny background faces from the manga into this. Also, I can't wait for people to enjoy the absolute peak himbo energy that is Laius. Honestly he's one of the best characters of all time.

オタク特有の誇張表現だけど、マジで、 キャラ、ストーリー、世界観の全てを 「理想の冒険ファンタジー」にすると ダンジョン飯が生まれる この作品には心の底で求めていたワクワク感が詰まってる

こんなに丁寧に作ることが許された漫画、久しぶりに見た。 作者の物語が終わってしまうのが寂しくて、進むたびに憂鬱な気持ちになるくらい。 アニメも出来るだけ丁寧に作って欲しいな。 この作品は、見逃しても全く問題ないようなキャラクターの一つ一つの細かな所作に、九井さんの想いが籠もってる。そんなところを切り取ってもらえたら、いつまでも愛される名作になれるよねきっと。

一発ネタのパロディに見えてシビアな世界観と一面だけでは測れない複雑な魅力を持ったキャラクターたちを描く怖いぐらいよくできた作品なのでアニメでも成功して欲しい。 それはそれとしてドシリアスなシチュエーションで二郎系ラーメンを出すトンチキなセンスが好きすぎる。
