I love how Babish got creative with each burger patty. He could have dumped a crapton of food coloring into some ground beef but he instead made each burger unique with different colorful ingredients

"I don't care what your burgers made of, I don't care what you're made of, you deserve a toasted bun." That's oddly wholesome and I love it.

After Patrick's suitcase was done and now the pretty pattys, I will patiently wait for Babish to do the nasty patty for an April fools video.

This is the first channel who did pretty patties and not make them a dessert. This is why I love this channel

I think the only slight critique I would give is sweet potatoes would have also worked for the orange patty, and maybe given it a bit more flavor. Maybe even mixed with the carrot!

Pretty Patties is one of my favorite SpongeBob episodes and now I'm seeing it turn into reality.

Love the fact the Babish creatively incorporated veggies to color the burgers instead of copping out with food coloring. So fun to watch!

5:40 If I remember this correctly from my biochemistry class, the reason why the water turns blue if you add baking soda is because purple cabbage acts like a pH indicator. That means it changes color in accordance to the acicity or basicity of it's surroundings. By dumping baking soda onto the cabbage/into the water, you change the pH-Value to basicity. If you would have changed it to acicity, it would turn more of a red/pink-ish tone. This process is actually used in the preperation of a (questionably) popular German side dish, where one part of the country calls it "Rotkraut" (Red Cabbage) and prepares it with a hint of acicity and Bavaria calls it "Blaukraut" (Blue Cabbage), which is prepared just how you do in this video.

Wow, after redoing the buns, and making a whole different patty for each colour...I have massive respect for Babish, never compromising on quality or authenticity.

I like to picture Spongebob putting just as much effort and thought into his pretty patties.

My favorite explanation for the crabby patty secret formula was that they’re made of actual straight up beef. The fish in bikini bottom have never had beef otherwise, and so don’t recognize what it is, they just love how it tastes because it’s different from every other kind of food for them
