My favorite was "Welcome to Hell" with Saoirse Ronan tackling the Me Too movement. While satirical, it made so many true points about what women have to go through and worry about. I remember it going viral and so many women I know sharing it. It definitely achieved its message.

The cold open with the Ukrainian Chorus Dumka of New York after the invasion of Ukraine deserved an honorable mention
  • It's nice to know they can treat some topics with some reverence
  • Though I hate it when comedy shows and late night shows got serious because I like watch these shows to get away from the negative. But sometimes we need a moment of seriousness to get the point out there becomes more aware of how dire the situation is.
  • Most of these were fairly recent events. I think the skit about HIV with Madonna from the late 80s should be on the list
  • "You got paint in my hair you nerd" 😅😂😅. I always cry laughing at this sketch 🤣.

I love Sinead, it’s shame she got so much backlash from her stunt 😢 She was right all along

@11:50 wow, looks like Bowen is really saying something important. Sure would be nice if we could hear it instead of narration.

The Welcome To Hell music number that included guest Saoirse Ronan would probably be considered an honorable mention.

Their sketch “He Who Weeps”- satirizing the trauma of a mastectomy from the male partner’s pov- made further poignant in retrospect due to Gilda Radner getting ovarian cancer soon after.
  • SNL people get very upset when you call what they do "Skits." Skits are what the football players do when they put on the cheerleaders' uniforms or what children do at camp. These are professional comedy writers and performers. They do sketches.

Seeing the thumbnail’s kinda funny with what I saw during my childhood. Mommy, why’s the clown from “The Big Comfy Couch” talking about abortion? It’s still odd how I still remember it despite only seeing the show referenced a couple of times as a kid.
