That line hits me right in the kokoro "If the world gives you million reasons to back out then you should have a million reasons not to give up" I felt it because right now I felt like the burdens on the back of my mind kept pushing me down. That line is a good reminder for me not to give up easily!

Respect for Luz long, for endangering his carrier, and supporting Jesse... Both were greatest atheletes from their times...
-
This recap gave me goosebumps every time Jesse kept overcoming his self doubts
-
“By their white friends” I think you could’ve worded that better

Being black is a priviledge! Stand tall, square your shoulders, you have been created to stand out, and be victorious! 🔥🛐🔥

Owens and his coach worked very hard to have him in peak condition for the Olympics. Marquette University's Ralph Metcalfe was usually the faster runner and was also black. Ralph got 2nd there at the 100m and was on the 4x100m relay team too.

This film had little to no promotions. I didn't even know it was out. Went to go see it, and it was great. A very underrated film.

"My greatest Olympic prize" ~Jesse Owens The movie is based on his autobiography

Jesse Owens Just wasn’t an Inspiration to Black People but ALL People

-
We watched this movie in my last year of high school back in 2016, Jessie Owens is one of the least talked about he did best he could do for his time and changed a lot of expectations because of it. God bless.

this story makes me proud; that the Nazis had to pause their bullshit to acknowledge the reality, that to measure greatness greatness could not be denied.

Being in a racist country can really discourage someone to become the best that they have to be, it can reach that far and stagnate the development of the country !
-
I'm so so glad that he showed them that he can win and that he is as good as anyone else I hate it when people are racist to anyone I believe that u should treat people how u would like to be treated and I wish that everyone was like it

Trick question : Which head of state refused to shake hands with Owens after his record gold medal performance?
