When the defenders camp behind the breach, you can creep one unit into it to draw them out again. Once the defenders react, race the bait unit back out sideways so that the guns can resume firing.

Tbh I don't think I'll ever be good at or understand this game like I do with Shogun 2. I can conquer all of Japan as the Chosokabe in one sitting no problem, but I don't feel confident doing anything in this game.

How come you didn't stop your cannons from firing canister into an empty breach?
