There are so many fake or useless programs that claim to boost your FPS in games, but Lossless Scaling can actually do it! But like other frame generation techniques, there are certainly cons along with the pros. In this video we test out LSFG x2 and the new x3 mode.

it went from downloading RAM to FPS, man this is great
  • @Wolfentodd
“Hey choom, this gonk has been running around the street for 20 minutes. You think hes gonna go psycho?”
  • @initialds4903
Any fps boost without needing of upgrading a gpu is always welcome for budget gamer
  • @BagelMaster4107
oh my god I can download fps now too, just like all the ram I downloaded yesterday!
  • @LuismaLorca
The Elden Ring is actually the best example possible, because the only way to unlock the framerate is disabling online mode and anti-chear, but with this software you can play at 120 or 180fps with online and no anti-cheat issues.
  • @bellicsson4171
YES, Thank you for noticing this software, it is the goat of frame generation in my opinion, it works on literally anything that is in borderless or windowed mode. I'm happy to see it finally receiving some well deserved recognition
  • @gabriell5714
The best part about this is it works on YouTube videos. We finally have can have something better than 60fps.
  • @StatusQuo209
I've been using LS since it launched. The app has single handedly saved me from upgrading my GPU nearly as much.
  • @Aokimarcel
I think one of the biggest use cases, including mine, is for handhelds. It works great on legion go, specially since the screen is smaller it's harder to see artifacts, but still makes the game smoother
  • When you get your new 240Hz/480Hz monitor, you should re-test the 3x mode in both the 240Hz and 480Hz modes. It would be really interesting to see if you can do it, how well it looks, how well it runs, etc. Using frame gen to go from very low fps to marginally higher fps, while it does have legitimate uses and is one of the main selling points of the app atm, feels like underselling the potential of frame gen as we push higher refresh rates.
  • @newkickztv
This technology is a godsend for handheld devices, where the screen size will mask a significant portion of the artifacting (hopefully). I would love to see a handheld pc test with this app!
  • @cajampa
Thanks Daniel, I have been wanting to see you cover this for a long time.
  • @matt-dw
One of the really cool things about this is that it doesn't just work in games. It also works for youtube/twitch/whatever video streaming in a web browser as long as you watch in full screen!
  • This can be super helpful for slow-paced games that are very cpu limited. For instance, I'm using this right now on Pathfinder: Wrath of the Righteous and it keeps Act 4 above 100 FPPS instead of mid-50s, which even on a slower paced game, definitely contributes to perceived smoothness.
  • @White-nl8td
Bypassing 60 FPS limit of some older games is the highlight of the video. I always wanted to play Assassin's creed Black Flag at 120 FPS (its engine is locked at max 60 fps); I shall give this a try. 😊
  • @rcmp09
Please try this again when you get the 480hz OLED monitor. Would be cool to see how it scales at much higher refreshes. Might be good to see if these technologies allow us to use super high refresh monitors without being bottlenecked by current CPU/GPUs.
  • @MadManCorp
Very informative video. Thanks for your hard work! Love the technical side of PC gaming.
  • @arghpee
So glad you're showing off Lossless Scaling. It is an amazing application.
