  • I live in Naples Italy and the people who live at the foot of the volcano have a festival at the top of Monte Somma called il sabato di fuoco to pray to the Madonna for Vesuvio to stay calm 🙏🏽

The cost of the solution now is significantly more than the cost of a solution back in the day. Geez. Greed sucks.
  • Man this reminds me of Katrina When the Levy Failed, I was a Rescue Swimmer in the US Navy stationed at Pcola Florida at the time and we got deployed for 2 months to New Orleans pulling people off buildings stranded at first to running supplies. I've never seen such destruction before in my life until later on in my Career when I was stationed in Japan in 2011 when that massive Tsunami hit. Katrina + Harvey combined weren't even close to what happened to those poor amazing Japanese Civilians. RIP to those who were lost in all these horrific events. After seeing all that I appreciate everything I have and the life I've been blessed with bc man one min your family is happy and healthy the next your the only one left alive after a 100ft+ wall of water smashes your home. I will never live near the ocean, Navy got me sick of them lol

It is hard to do long term projects because the politicians don't look beyond their time in office.
  • You can go back to the early 1900's and the hurricanes were more extreme. They won't mention them.

I PRAY That The Grace Of The Almighty Continues To Bless, Surround & Heal The Earth, Oceans & The Animals . I Pray That The Leaders Of The World Are Listening To The Experts For The Sake Of Humanity. NOTHING IS IMPOSSIBLE WITH THE FAITH OF A MUSTARD SEED. And So It Is.
  • It’s been my experience in both the Military and Civilian world that most people/corporations/entities do not like to be PROactive, usually REactive.
  • I think we should be very worried about wats happening with our planet. We going through a flood crisis in New Zealand due to Cyclone Gabrielle..Three days after Gabrielle we had a Earthquake in wellington.
  • @LivN25
Our home along with 2500 other homes and businesses burned down in 2020. We had 50 mph winds and it was in the high 90s that day. One spark and it blew that fire so fast, we all thought the world was ending that day. I thought having your home burn down was uncommon, but it’s not and it’s going to happen more and more.
  • @dekdeknav9366
Why put the firemen's lives in danger for those homes/homeowners that are not supposed to build in those areas? Build at their own risk!! Build metal-made homes that hopefully are more fireproof, don't ignite fire 🔥
  • @gojewla
I had a friend visiting when that Iceland volcano erupted. She ended up staying an extra week, which was nice! We hadn’t hung out much since graduating school.
  • I had to give my estimate to the CDC and EMF last week. It was one of my worst experiences. Watching on the news is one thing. Understanding the outcome is another. If you have a few pennies, send it on over ESP to Syria. My estimate was 10k immediately dead followed by 50-70 thousand due to poor conditions. There was a delay from Sat companies and a delay on the ground due to political bitching. Find an aid agency, and donate. You can't divide this stuff up. Everyone needs help. This was a hard week. It is now a recovery operation. If you can keep one kid warm? Keep them warm.

19:10 A lot of us here in Houston have words for Sly Turner that you can't use on TV.
  • @SandyWolf-
With the early warning of a volcano one has to wonder were will all those people go?
  • 60 min doing science and nature bits now? I remember when MTV played music too.
  • Amen Lord have mercy let YOUR WILL BE DONE ON EARTH AS IT IS IN HEAVEN PSALM 121 SAYS THE EARTH IS THE LORDS AND THE FULLNESS THERE OF SPEAK SHOW LORD US YOUR HANDY WORKS THANK YOU FATHER IN HEAVEN
  • I’m watching this at work. Trying not to cry when the man’s wife and kids are found in the avalanche. His guilt of survival when others died is common.
  • @lesreed8803
Mankind is just here for the ride The Earth is of History that remains a mystery and then we die
  • It's a problematic cycle when you can make Billions, but on the way cause damage that will cost Trillions that will be paid by OTHER PEOPLE. An ounce of prevention would be better than non at all. Stay safe out there.
