Titanium may be stronger and harder than aluminium but that also means more of the impact will be transferred to the rest of the phone, whereas aluminium would just deform and absorb a lot of the impact.

Man, going back to the 12 series, especially the 12 Pro Max drop test, it’s crazy how Apple threw away the formula for a resilient phone. The 12 Pro Max will be goated for that for a long time.

I love how the harder titanium frame is seen as protecting the phone more. When really a harder frame is just going to allow more of the shock vibration to go through the phone to the glass, making it more likely to crack. I would much rather a more pliable frame that scuffs but has less glass cracking
  • The Galaxy is a bigger, heavier phone with a curved display. A solid win for the Galaxy.

Well, S23 ultra should get more points since the back glass on 15 pro max can easily be shattered by applying little pressure.

Would love to see a test with the regular impact case to see protection. More sensible case for most people for size
  • I miss the bonus round being 10 drops. I feel like that gives a really good idea to how the phone will hold up over a few years worth of drops and shocks

The S23 ultra did way better than the iPhone 15 pro max without a case

I would say the Iphone only gets 9 on two, since it kept spewing glass everytime it fell. There was more damage to the IPhone after the corner drop.

Older phones like galaxy s21u and iphone 12 pro max are way durable when it comes to droptest 2 yrs ago☺️

Imagine dropping your iPhone at a gas station or onto some rocks at a golf course and sparking a wildfire.

0:03 Remember guys, the first test is always the drop test, then the battery life and speed test!
  • @supbrice

Feels like the iPhone took a step back this year, let’s hope Apple fixes these issues.

I am surprised that S23 is doing so well having square corners.
