Pinoy Joyride - Ah26 Santa Fe Dalton Pass (NB) Joyride

Published 2015-03-11
Unreleased version footage of my Sante Fe Dalton Pass Joyride
From San Jose City to Aritao Nueva Vizcaya. This was the prelude to the Benguet Nueva Vizcaya Road Joyride I did.

This is a part of the Ah26 (Asian highway 26) road or Maharlika Highway. This is also going to Cagayan Valley, Isabela and Tuguegarao City. One of the busiest zig zag roads because of big trucks passing here, delivering goods. There were a lot of road improvements here as there are road widening done. The only not nice part was along Santa Fe area.

Road Condition - Paved Roads. Some are wide
Drive thrill - Challenge to overtake big trucks!
Security - there are many houses and small towns along the road
Rating: 4/5 :-D

From Wikipedia
Dalton Pass, also called Balete Pass, is a zigzag road and mountain pass that joins the provinces of Nueva Ecija and Nueva Vizcaya, in central Luzon island of the Philippines.

The summit of the mountain pass is at around 3,000 feet (910 m) in elevation, located where the Caraballo Sur (mountain range) and the Sierra Madre (mountain range) meet. The headwaters of the Digdig River originate just south of the pass. Balete Ridge starts two miles to the west-northwest of the pass, with a high point at Mt. Imugan (5,580 feet), and extends nine miles to the east-southeast, where it ends at Mt. Kabuto (4,600 feet )

Dalton Pass is a gateway to the Cagayan Valley, and the Ifugao Rice Terraces.

We also went to Appari next day then Ilocos and Baguio the next next. It was exhausting but exciting journey. Thanks sa mga info niyo sir. Unfortunately di dumating yung inorder naming dashcam sayang

I had drove this very same road, but before that pinanuod ko video mo over and over again. It help me a lot kasi i know na what to expect. It was last Dec 2014, the roads are fine kaya lang totoo pala na nakaktakot yung mga trucks, they are like an elephants pero mga pagong kung lumakad, pero it seems that incoming drivers are anticipating narin yung mga nag o-over take kaya they adjust na rin their speed. I never had a problem except yung dalawang truck na nasiraan going both ways, akala ko nga aabutin kami ng gabi sa daan. And because of that, i thought of not going back the same way pero everytime I watch your video about this route, i was encourage to go back again. But probably i should drive suv para mas may lakas. Thanks sa effort for sharing your videos, I wish i could corraborate with you. will be repurchasing a dashcam ksi nasira yung nabili ko before ako mag travel. ingat lagi! God bless your driving.
