Regarding 8:13 with the piles of flint and arrows, it's because crows gather on that island and crows like shiny things :) It seems they've found some items to hoard!
  • I absolutely prefer TotK, but I do miss a few things from BotW. The guardians, the crusty monks, golden enemies, master mode, floating enemy bases, and of course: the hyrule castle theme

I'm sure someone beat me to this, but the Sheikah tech you can see in the hidden passage in the library is the outer wall to the observatory. You fight Calamity Ganon in the observatory in BotW.

When I told my fiancee about the Hinox lowering lift and that it wasn't in BOTW, she just headcanoned that since it had been 100 years, it simply just got covered up with dust, dirt and rocks, and then in TOTK, it got unblocked while they were fixing up the area, only for it to be blocked again by the upheaval

29:22 that room is still there in Tears on B3. There's an opening above in the castle gardens, on the path facing south directly underneath Zelda's tower. There is a Like Like and some enemies in that area in ToTk and heading down in the side of the rock wall facing west is a door which leads to that room. In BOTW it follows back into the lockup, but the path between the two was destroyed in Tears. In Tears, it's a required battle location when you chase puppet Zelda. Also, the armory in the east passage is also gone, likely because it was durectly under what is now the chasm.

8:35 it…never occurred to me that I always run into the struggling koroks with the backpack while exploring but never run into the friend…
  • @Nyxael5845
36:20 King Rhoam is no mini-boss. That lad is an absolute unit and IS the boss of Hyrule Castle at the time.
  • @GamingWarlord64
Before we got the name tears of the Kingdom me and my friends called it "The legend of Zelda Breath of The Wild 2 the sequel to the legend of Zelda Breath of the wild".
  • @FieryRed_BE
on the pillar island are crow nests, crows usually collect shiny stuff, which explains the flint and the arrows
  • @LunaP1
“There was also a Gloom Spawn spot that I couldn’t get to spawn” You actually WANT one of those horrific things to show up?!
  • @LordShrek420
32:14 The sheikah tech is likely the astral observatory, given the room’s placement
  • @Celtic1020
3:46 I like the tree not being there. It rewards you for remember the map so you know it's an evermean.

I wish Nintendo could allow us to explore more of Hyrule in the distant past with Zelda as a playable character. Let alone the events of the Imprisoning War, Ganondorf''s background, some info on the Ancient Sages, the Zora and Rito populations in the Sky Islands, Twinrova, and provided more screentime for Rauru, Sonia, and Mineru. It has been a lost opportunity since TOTK's story has been divided into two.
  • @tylerkropf9522
32:05 The ancient technology is likely the outer edge of the astral observatory in which calamity ganon is fought in botw. The location lines up about perfectly
  • Have been having a bad day and this is the exact type of video I wanted to see on my homepage. Thanks so much, I love your content!

That one very tall room that was in Botw is in Totk on floor B3. If you go to Zelda’s study and stand on the bridge connecting the study to the rest of the castle (make sure you are facing the castle) you will fall onto a path along with part of the bridge. If you look to the right you will see a covered area with multiple different types of like-likes. If this is what you see then paraglide off of the cliff to the left of Zelda’s study, don’t jump straight down though. If you keep paragliding down the side of the castle then you should see a somewhat hidden entrance on the cliff side. If you enter through there then you should be in that room. Another way to find it is through a main quest you unlock from purah after you complete the four regional phenomenon. This is the puppet ganon/zelda quest.

The « so very much » at the end of the video always gets me 😂 Love your content btw ❤️
  • This is definitely gonna be a special episode of the series. Definitely one I’ve been excited/anticipating.
