In all honesty, one of the biggest reasons why I've always loved this song is that it kinda reminds of a younger me. Does anyone else feel like that at all?

I'd pay millions for this to play during a scene where Tails is practicing to be "strong and trustable" after being saved by "him" during a battle in this upcoming Sonic movie.

it probably won't happen, but I'd love to hear this in Sonic Movie 2 when Tails first appears, it'd be so hype for me. So hyped to hear Colleen voicing Tails again

Ahh! That BASS GUITAR! The chords! It brings tears to my eyes. How did they work these notes perfectly together?! REALLY enhances the melody, for sure.

Feels weird to be 20yrs old... Feels like I was 6 years old playing this game not that long ago.

i listened to this song for hours at a time every goddamn day when i was about 7 or 8. tails has been a big comfort character for me since i first got into sonic, and looking back now, i see why - he's different from everyone around him, a little shy and withdrawn, struggles to make friends outside a small circle, and prefers to focus on the things he's interested in rather than the people surrounding him. as an autistic kid with like two friends maximum at any given time, that was [and honestly still is] the dictionary definition of my entire life. but instead of being sidelined as a joke character like so many of the introverted, 'weird' characters i had wanted to relate to, his traits were seen as nothing to be ashamed of. at worst they were a struggle he could overcome if he tried, and at best they were what made him on par with the likes of sonic the hedgehog. he was a character i could see myself in and a character i could be PROUD to see myself in. that helped a lot. this song is just about the only thing that can give me purely nostalgic memories of my childhood, without any of the 'oh god why was i like that' or 'hey actually this memory is definitely traumatising' attached. just me vibing to the upbeat theme of my favourite character from my favourite video game for hours on end and thinking about how swell it was to be me. apologies for the corny-as-shit anecdote, but i thought i'd toss my story out into the wild in case it just so happened to resonate with somebody.

This song hits you with such emotional and motivational prowess. A song that can make you feel like your short comings will truly push you to greatness as long as you keep trying. There is no other song that has come close to making me feel this way to the extent this one has.

Sometimes I feel like I'm the only person who loves this version to death and couldn't care less about the SA1 version. I spent as much time listening to this thing in the SA2B sound test as I did playing the game as a kid.
