    These polls - are they showing favorability ratings, or who voters say they'll vote for? That's crucial for us to know.

    Walz shores up the Progressive vote and could turn out younger voters countrywide. Shapiro has one more term to go as governor. According to some very well known advisors, the VP choice does not really affect the outcome in that individual's State. What does matter is losing a seat in the Senate, or a sitting Governor in a swing state.
