Stop motion animation, 2004. Complete film.

Our old student-era stop motion animated short. Filmed with a 'Lunchbox' line tester, and a potato. I learned a great deal making this film. Even though my standards have changed, I still have some affection for the old thing.

This is so unsettling I think it perfectly captures the essence of the original tale, great job!! I wish I had found this sooner!
  • This Gothic Masterpiece Should Be Cherished More Even The Background Music.

Remember reading this in middle school. Had to watch this in anticipation of the new modernized Netflix series

When I finished the book, I regretted reading it at night.

They were original compositions created more or less on the spot by Chris Miller of London, Ontario (via Edmonton, Alberta).

If you loved this, read the book the fall. It is based on this short story.
  • I am a teacher and we are teaching Poe to our kids. I would love to show them the full length of this movie. Is it available for download somewhere?

1:46 'Roger' Usher? No Roderick Usher. Anyways some beautiful animation here and it's a gorgeous little film.

It's reasonably accurate to the original, excepting the ending. The house is supposed to sink into the tarn (lake) before the narrator runs off.

who else watched this because they were too lazy to read the story? :) LOL
Good job on the video by the way
  • Wonderfully creepy. Bravo; bravo (the reason why I'm 'replying' is that I'm the same person).
  • Great film. Thanks. Have you ever considered applying your talent to a rendering of "Berenice"? I'm not aware that anyone has ever attempted to film it. I'm sure you'd make a great production.
