Hello People..! I'm BLOWN AWAY by how many comments and hits this video has generated. It's VERY Cool... Thank You...!

1. About 1 Month after I posted this video, we mounted a 55" Flat Screen TV on the wall. Phew..!

2. I do have a car..! ;-)

3. I sadly sold ALL of this gear about a year ago...! Oh Nooooo...!

It was way too tempting to rattle the walls of our lovely townhouse. Even at low volumes, the headroom on those amps punched holes in my neighbors patience..!

The Speakers and the MA-6900 wound up in Honolulu. One MC-252 went to Alaska and the other to NYC. The CD Player found it's way to Hong Kong.

I spent about $19,000 collecting it all over a period of about a year. The only piece I bought new was the MA-6900. The rest come off eBay. I was able to get most of my money back. But what a sound.... It was like making a cup of tea with a nuclear reactor...!

Thanks again for all the comments...! Keep 'em comin..!!

Joe

Mcintosh Amps and B & W 803D Speakers... It really doesn't get much better

My dream system 30-40 yrs ago was almost exactly the same. B&W 801's and McIntosh Amps. I auditioned them many times at my local audio salon. I could never afford them though. I ended up with Cerwin Vega 316R's, Klipsch Cornwalls and a Pioneer SX-1980. Wow, it's hard to believe the B&W 800 series is still around. Love the music with this video. I still lust for high-end audio equipment.
  • Nice sound system & Components.. Love the speakers. Like the TV not too big not too small it was no difference to me I'm actually looking for one similar in size for my cabinet. Very inspiring. I thank you.. ☺

Nice stuff, we all have our favorite choices. If this was yours then you are lucky to have had it in your home to enjoy. My opinion, Mac is great stuff, but they ride their name to the bank with their prices. Lots of great stuff thats less money. B&W speakers I feel are the Bose of hi - end. They produce sound the way B&W makes it sound, very colored, which for me is very hard to listen to for long sessions. Good stuff, but man, today there is some beautiful stuff to experience and dream about having. Thanks for sharing!

Amazing set-up mate, looks/sounds a great combination and very good taste indeed.

B&W speakers I love 'em. Never had a chance to appreciate McIntosh audio products. I learned one thing through the years. Don't trust the spec sheet, trust your ears.
  • @nuttertube
It's crazy when you can tell it has an excelent sound stage even through a camera mic. Nice set-up!

So many years later and I still dream about this system. Hope you can own such a system again and I hope I too can one day.

lost in yt..again, and again.. and yeah, i do not want to be here but I cant help myself clicking the play button. no worries, coz it always bring a smile and joy in me listening to this bad ass system of yours. the sound coming from those things are music indeed!!!

Beautiful system. I agree with some of the previous comments - there appears to be some reverb or resonance in the room that is not complimenting the speakers too well. Even with the mediocre camera mic it is clearly audible. A very common case of a capable system that is competing with room size and aesthetics. The way it was set up though, it's clear that this is more of a "show" system and it did it's job very well in that regards. I do admire the balls to spend that kind of dough though without much regard for how it might sound in that environment. Acoustically speaking, my living room is just as bad even being larger and with a much less powerful setup and yet I can't help but to wish for a nearly identical setup as you once had. =)
  • @TonySinc
Mini ass tv!!! Lol that system is sick though. The setup is nice too. Nice
