Root/core issue for me was an abusive x husband...lived in flight or fight mode for years...he was seriously slowly killing me and my adrenal fatigure and lack of cortisol production were my signs. I left -healed my body and becoming better and better every day. People don't talk about this enough when it comes to relationships - you must leave them in order to heal not only your mind but your body as well.

I keep my cortisol levels down by limiting my consumption of caffeine, sugar or alcohol to a minimum, And walking, hiking, meditation and rest. But I am human and succumb 🧐 to inflammatory foods sometimes. Thanks for your excellent presentations.

Stress is just another word for fear. And fear is almost always a response to an exaggerated threat.
  • Stress has been the number one challenge of my life. This video has given me more insight into what I have to do to regain my health than almost anything else I've been exposed to. Although I've lost almost 40 pounds on a keto diet, I'm not truly healthy unless I learn how to deal with chronic stress. Thanks so much Dr. Eckberg!

Brilliant! Brilliant! Since 1986, when my father died I had been training Malaysian executives on stress management. I retired in 2001 when my husband died. Man! do I know about grief as a stressor. Dr Eberg, you are the best ! Well done! You are so knowledgeable and communicate your ideas so well. I have been listening to you for the past week and truly you are the best.

Years ago my weight got out of control, and my blood sugar, when I worked overnights. I could not lose an ounce of weight back then. I’m sure it was cortisol, and not just insulin/ T2D. I am still working on decreasing stress, glad to have found these videos!!
