India and China are two good examples of their two different political systems. The hard truth is that if China had chosen the same path as India did in the 1940s, the US would not have to worry about China today... China just showed how far and how quickly you can go with a nationwide, century-long considerate planning and teamwork.
  • @lv9657
As a person not living in India or China, based on my observations on various media, it is the peoples in India who like to compare India with China. Frankly, India is not in the same league with China.
  • @xixihua2515
I am quite old and have witnessed the entire development of China. China achieved what it has today because several generations genuinely recognized their shortcomings and learned from the West with a very humble attitude. Even today, if you point out areas where China hasn't done well, many Chinese people will agree with you and commend you, as many still lack confidence. However, Indians are too proud, and this is actually detrimental to India.
  • @Luciennnnnnn
First of all, I never see any Chinese compare China and India๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚

Ken , I am not from either China or India but I think you are a gentleman & honest in your opinions. Glad that you are showing the truth about these countries. Do not be affected by the negative comments, your videos are great as it allow people who cannot travel physically or financially to see the countries they can never dream of going thru your lenses. Good Job!

The fact is there is no comparison of China and India.... China is far better than india in regards to infrastructure, health, cleanness, more discipline society, more modern in technologies and public transport, GDP, exports, ports, business... Everything..... Indians need to come out from there ancestral box and think and act like 21st century country and thinking but unfortunately india is still stuck in cast, religion and out dated customs....But Yes india has developed in so many sectors since 1947 that's is also reality.. But bottom line there is no comparison of China and India

To be honest I would never ever want to go to India, but Iโ€™m strongly looking forward to visit China.
  • @maxwin4398
My India friends told me that India is developing fast when I visit India in 2008. From your video I found there have no any change.
  • @alexzhang1897
As a Chinese, your video has changed some of my previous impressions of India. Thank you to those wonderful Indians for their contribution to their country. But in fact, the Chinese donโ€™t want to compare with India. We just want to develop the economy peacefully.
  • @tlowe9796
Most people just dont get it. You think China is already at the peak of its development? China's development pace is getting faster and faster, India will never be able to catch up regardless of how much time into the future. At this rate, by the time India catches up of what is China today, they would be probably more than 100 years behind China at that time.
  • @MJTUEN
You can never criticize anything about India cos' the backlash from keyboard warriors will be great. Conversely if your just level praises about India then plenty of kudos will be generously given.
  • @omgsam2263
China and india are two different level of players. People can compare them 50 years ago, but definitely not now. I suggest to the indian commenters, try to visit the world, especially if possible to china, see with your own eyes. Then they will know what is the fact against what their media tell them.
  • In fact Indians have been obsessed with comparing their country with China while Chinese people are only interested in comparing with themselves or America and the EU.
  • @user-nj5nn8ij1x
The Chinese have never regarded India as a rival. In fact, the Chinese always compare themselves with the strongest aspects of other countries and regions in the world. For example, they compare artificial intelligence, scientific research, education, and military affairs with the United States; compare electronics and semiconductor with Japan; compare LNG ships with South Korea; compare automobiles with Germany; compare aircraft and nuclear power with France; compare chip manufacturing with Taiwan; and compare city governance with Singapore.
  • My 2 cents. I think the biggest difference between the two countries is people's mindset. Through so many ups and downs, Chinese people, especially the Chinese leaders, are accustomed to facing big challeges and difficulties, and even eargerly looking forward to, revolutionary changes and disruptive reforms. Meanwhile in India, national independence was earned through non-voilent and noncooperation movements, changes are usually happening in a more gradual, slow and passive way, because India hasn't faced big crisis, violent revolutions and radical reforms in its recent history. People rarely want to get out of their comfort zone, because they don't have to. The mindset of the Indian people is more about opportunistic thinking than strategic thinking, and too much diversity, conflicting interests and chaotic democracy lead to low efficiency and shortsight (sometimes self-defeating) decisions.
  • @horaceleung8646
Actually, Ken was not the first to raise hygiene, chaos, and safety issues in India, and I don't understand why there are so many negative comments. I have also watched many travel videos about India, and there are basically similar situations. What I don't understand the most is that there are always many Indians in the comment section who feel good about themselves and come out to defend themselves, saying that they have done a good job. Why can't they just face these problems and think about how to change them? If it's really done so well, why is what I saw in the video different from what you said? BTW, as a Chinese, I can also clearly tell Indian friends that our current goal is only the United States, and India is not yet a concern for us.
  • when china's gdp was behind the uk in 2005, many people in china never felt super confident and brag about their country despite being like in the top 5 economies back then. people genuinely felt like they need to improve and learn more from others. That's why I dont really understand why indians be like jai hind on the internet. in chinese peoples' perspective, if you have time like that to talk back against haters on the internet, why not improve yourself and be stronger so you can help to build your country better?

Ken:India is very safe. It's just that I'm 1.9 meters tall, don't go out at night, only stay in five-star hotels, and haven't had any stomach issues. I just haven't tried street food... These are all my personal reasons. India is great, please don't attack me online."๐Ÿ˜‚
