Love these backroad finds videos! Some very cool finds and neat looking homes and the views are incredible along with all the gorgeous rivers! The property with the gated farmhouse and barn is one of my favorites and it would be amazing to build a new home there. Another favorite is the home with the big white pillars in the front. It was fun to see the old Ford truck, the old pay phone, and the Main Street Gas garage. The whole video is so interesting, awesome, and really enjoyable JP, and your photos are excellent! Ayyyyyye, I’m from Va and we have some wild treasures for explorers around Fredericksburg.

JP took us on a road trip! Thanks man! I am from the east coast, NC, and spent lots of time in WV visiting relatives. One time we used a detailed map and went the long way, along the ridge of the mountains of VA, on mostly unpaved roads (90s). One of the most memorable drives of my life.

Youll have to go back with a trailer and pick up that forgotten Ford. A project for you 😅😅 Some lovely old houses there, such a shame going to waste. Lol, the cows. Beautiful landscape. Many thanks for a very enjoyable drive 👍👍😃😃👍👍

It looks like at the very end of the video when JP is wrapping things up if you look behind him in the distance is either an old train station or at least an old red caboose. Looks like a great drive.

Some of my best photos were taken in WV

Had to do a double take when you got to the Mountain View store, and then another when you stopped at the red building around 9:30. My family owns a cabin literally just through the woods behind there. What a coincidence this video got recommended to me. Don’t know the story behind those two buildings. The red one has always been more or less abandoned, but it used to be someone kept the grass cut around it. The other one, I seem to remember that one being occupied more recently, but it’s still been some time. Yes, there is zero cell service, and I don’t see that changing anytime soon, which is why I was surprised the pay phone didn’t work. The local phone company (MGW) does offer fiber internet, amazingly enough, so you’re not completely in the Stone Age. Definitely recommend staying out there until nightfall if the skies are clear, the stars are absolutely, utterly amazing. The cow pasture, bull pasture, and calf pasture rivers are gonna be a lot cleaner than bodies of water closer to the ocean. Cold water, but lovely to swim in once you get used to the temperature.
