Just so people know. The dynamite was handed down through several generations. The newest inheritor saw the dynamite and she called 911. The police, the fire department and the bomb squad all showed up. The dynamite was leaking, crystalizing and extremely unstable. If they tried to move it, it could have exploded and set off the other dynamite that was in the house, and it could also have killed people. They evacuated the houses surrounding the houses and then set it off. They probably did it that time of the morning so there would not be people about that could possibly get hurt.
