can we appreciate the fact Mel is touring, making MV’s, making perfume, making merch. AND going on back to back tours!?
  • the way she uses like a “video game” type visual to represent the shit she’s been enduring as if people are just “pushing buttons” to control her is so impressive and hits so deep.
  • @Mrsnebula_red
"Yeah you can look but you can't touch, I'm not just anybody" THISSS
  • @michaeltyler6635
It’s honestly so sad that this woman doesn’t have a Grammy yet she’s literally on two tours, making music videos for every song on the portals album, promoting her Perfumes and still trying to get the budget for a film, she’s literally doing what most main stream artists aren’t even trying to do and it’s sad that she doesn’t have at least one award for what she’s doing.

Also, the scene in which the dancers fall dramaticaly off the hill, showing how dramatic some fans are when singers set boundaries is portrated so well<3 Everyone is only human and deserving of respect.

I'm a 42 year old metal fan. Took my daughter to see Melanie live in Dublin....she puts on an amazing show .. fantastic talent I was well impressed
  • @l4n4r4y
i think the buttons saying “give this” “take that” represents how quickly “fans” will give love and take it right back when they don’t like something the celebrity did. just a theory :)
  • @CKammes
So, when she sings VOID, the song right before this on her album, she sings about being tangled up in her own intestines. And this video starts with her falling (possibly out of the void) with the intestines still wrapped around her. Bravo, Miss Melanie. Genius to link it all together. From the Death video, straight into the void video, and now with tunnel vision. And songs 1, 2, 3 on her album. This is perfection!
  • @lovelilsy_
i absolutely LOVE how she portrayed her obsessive fan base in this mv as a video game. it perfectly describes it. she is so smart and this is definitely my fav mv so far on this album. congrats on making another beautiful music video. te amo <33

Did anyone realize there are references to old songs?? Class fight: 1:20 Pity party / Fire drill: 1:54 Crybaby: 2:32 Orange juice: 3:29 Mad hatter: 3:38 I feel like she’s referencing her old songs to be saying how in those songs she felt being controlled in the making of them or was s3xual1zed by what she was wearing Edit: thank you for likes :)
  • The part where it says “call them a b for being human” really touched me. Once celebrities set boundaries their fans get upset even though celebrities are also humans and have the right to express their emotions and speak up when they feel uncomfortable with certain things. I love you Mel! Your songs have such deep meanings and really tell an amazing story💕
  • @halliefaithh
It’s so cool how she leaves little references from her old songs like the double braids reminded me of “class fight” and her tears filling up the room reminds me of “crybaby!”
  • @Chloe-qj5hu
i love how its a video game showing how she feels being controlled by everyone. your so creative mel
  • @pumpkinpopz
HELP WHY IS THIS ACTUALLY SO GOOD 😭 🖐️- THIS IS MY FIRST TIME LISTENING TO PORTALS AFTER ONLY LISTENING TO K-12 AND CRYBABY, AND THIS IS MY FAVORITE ALBUM NOW 😭 😭
  • @Astrryxoxo
Melanie deserves the world after all the stuff she did. She’s touring, making MVS, making perfume, making merch and going back on tours. She’s literally the best. And I love how on the button is says “make them ____” bc her pronouns are her/they and I just love it. And I love how her mask has 4 eyes bc it gives it so much character
  • @Nastyn_21
This is actually the best music video from this era. Resembles how young Melanie’s audience is, and how they treat her as a creature or game instead of a human being. Love This!
  • @Flame_Trap
tunnel vision is all about being manipulated, and that is what melanie perfectly portrayed in this music video - the whole time, she’s being told what to do, and everything good that happens is taken away like “fill their cup, take it away” or “give them flowers, take it away” and then the reference to crybaby and the tears fill up the room is reflecting on how hard it is to put up with the pressure of doing everything right and making she no one is upset, yet still, people will “call them a bitch for being human.”
  • @YazTheBansheek
Is it bad that I find Melanie attractive in all of her designs of her character? Like how could some of y’all hate her!
  • @psychocat1
One of the reasons I love Melanie is she is not afraid to be herself, and she’s also real! Like for example one of the scenes where the button that says “call them a bitch for being human” is so real! And I love that
  • @oceanaheartsong
honored to play the ‘fan girl’ at the end. had so much fun 🩷 melanie is a tru visionary.
