Stress that lasts for long periods of time needs immediate attention. You can become so used to chronic stress that you don't realize it is a problem. If you don't find ways to manage stress, it will lead to health problems.
When you have chronic stress, your body stays alert, even though there is no danger. Over time, this puts you at risk for health problems, including:
High blood pressure
Heart disease
Diabetes
Obesity
Insomnia
Depression or anxiety
Skin problems, such as acne or eczema
Menstrual problems

In regards to which thumb to use, you can use either one. If you are not getting the effects as much as you should then it would be best to try both thumbs. Many of you will be shocked because these points do have Neurophysiological effects in the body. Wishing you good health! 😊❤️🙏

My thumb hurts now so I’ve forgotten about my stress. Good stuff.
  • My nervous system is totally screwed up after 25 years of heroin addiction. I ache all day long. This guy is amazing! Totally love his advice

I was very cynical but I tried this before bed last night and I have had the best sleep in months! I feel optimistic today and able to cope with the world better. Thank you so much 🙏
  • I have CPTSD so I get neurologically dysregulated easily after experiencing triggers. I gave this a shot during one of my episodes and felt almost immediate relief. Thank you for this.

I stopped working and presently living off disability benefits and it’s the best thing I have ever done for myself. Not one treatment worked, but stopping to work helped. Live a simple life, work less.

I've studied natural health for decades. THIS REALLY HELPS MY CNS ISSUES AS WELL AS YOU SAID. I've been praying for a natural method. A grateful PTSD Veteran

Praying that the pharmaceutical/industrial complex doesn't notice this good doctor's practical consultations.
  • I’ve been struggling with chronic pain and trauma. And found Vegas nerve for my personal use. This along with other videos. Overnight helped me to release years of emotional trauma. For the first time in years I am calm. Thank you for sharing ❤ I see why it’s viral.
  • This is remarkable!! I have been dealing with sympathetic nervous dysfunction for years as a result of a spinal injury and this method has helped me tremendously. My body is stuck in a figh or flight mode and this method immediately brought my heart rate down and gave me an overwhelming sense of relief and calm. Thank you from the bottom of my heart ❤️ I have new optimism on improving sleep and sense of bell being 🙏

My FAVORITE person on YouTube. THANK YOU for being a true healer that doesn’t charge for information! I hope your channel gains enough $ to allow you to continue forever!
  • So true, I often find that people don't even realize their stress is becoming a problem. I'm so excited to use this technique and share it with my clients to practice before bed as part of the Bedtime Routine habit I coach them in. Thank you Dr. Mandell!
  • Wow!! I was spiraling into a panic attack and these two techniques instantly helped me. ! Thank you!
  • @dawnh6377
This is a complete game changer! As someone who is chronically stuck in fight or flight, the shock at how instantly my body has relaxed from head to toe, and how my anxiety has eased is huge. Everyone should be taught this alongside CBT and other self help techniques. Why aren't Dr's telling people to do this?! Thank you. So happy to have found this video.
  • Wow! I felt both techniques right away. Can’t wait to share these with my husband tonight. We’ve both been under a lot of stress and having big life changes right now. It’s just a season and we trust that it will not always be like this. Thank you for sharing these techniques Dr.

Dr. Mandell, thank you for making all the great health videos. They are fantastic. You have so much passion in helping others improve their well-being.

I’m so glad this popped up for me tonight. I’m battling terrible anxiety and have used several exercises that you have taught here, Dr Mandell. Talk therapy has not helped me much and side affects from my anxiety are getting the best of me. Thank you so very much for sharing these wonderful gems with us. They really are a tremendous gift. 💯

This is one of the most helpful pieces of info I have come across in helping my body relax when it is in the grip of the “off” symptoms labeled Parkinson’s. I can literally feel it working first in my brain as I breathe, then through my body and legs and feet as I do the thumb moves, effect continuing for some time after and it speeds up my recovery. It also starts releasing the pressure that builds up in head and sinus at these times. Reply glad to have found this - Thankyou.
