We need to see a full light up costume with it
  • I love that your style has both really melodic and funky elements and they manage to compliment each other really well
  • @medmac2112
One of your catchiest and funkiest solos yet! This really brightened up my day (pun maybe intended).
  • As if we didn't already know Charles could light up an entire room with the power of his playing.
  • This guy is easily one of the best bassists I’ve ever seen. Just ridiculous chops and playing ability. Leaves me agape every time.
  • @Reienroute
Idk if it's just me, but it seems like there have been a lot of subtle hints of Polyphia influence in Charles' videos since he covered some of their songs. It's really amazing watching an already mind-blowing musician continue to integrate new bits of experience into his writing style. Never stop evolving.

charles idk if you're gonna read this or if this means that much to you, but as somebody who aspires to play the bass at even 1/100th of your level one day, you are my inspiration not only for bass, but for composition, musical sense, and perseverence. my hero bro, i hope you never stop doing amazing things with your life and your talent, no matter what obstacles are thrown at your path!
  • Charles sets a world class standard for great musicianship, always brilliantly melodic demonstrating astounding skills without being showy because every technical skill is placed in a musical context.
  • Charles is transcendent. He's tapping into higher levels of beauty reserved for just a few artists, in this case, a musician. I'm not aware of any musician today, on any instrument, on this level of creativity.

Just when I say to myself this dude can't get any better than what I just heard, I play another one of his videos and realize he does get better. Love and Respect.
  • I've said it before and i'll say it again. YOU are the reason I decided to pick up my bass again after 10years of not playing. Truly an inspiration, thank you!
  • @TotoDG
Damn, I'm surprised you didn't save this for Halloween. Not only does the bass fit the Halloween aesthetic, but the bassline sounds kind of "spooky" to me (not sure I can put my finger on why, but hey, it works).
  • That ridiculous run at 1:52 Where the <bleep> did that come from??? The level of technique, creativity and rhythmic sense - all rolled into one - is just bonkers. I am gobsmacked......
  • @ericm1373
1:30 this part sounds fantastic. Thank you for another amazing composition Charles!
  • This was a bright idea... I'll see myself out. (Also... it actually is pretty lit, as always. )
  • @Accal1a
Amazing work, as always, Charles. This specific solo of yours is going on my 'Happy' playlist because it brought me joy. Thanks for all the work you do to bring us great content.

You amaze me. I never grow tired of watching you play. I've never paid attention to the bass, but dude you made me fall in love with it. Love your shows, keep them coming . Vince Wiita From Hawley MN
