i a sam smith fan so of course, i love how he sings but the only problem with this song is that with all the runs and vocal tricks i think the story of the song gets lost that's why i always appreciated amazing yet simple way Tracy Chapman sings this one

Ya'll keep talkin bout how he "changed" the song too bad or he "butchered" it. It's a DAMN COVER. A cover isn't supposed to be EXACTLY the same as how the original is. It's thrown in a way tht the person who covers it chooses it to be.

I love the original. It means so much to me personally. Being a poor kid growing up on the Rez. This rendition lacks the pain but has an amazing color on it!! I really like Sams voice and this is a different song. Thank you Sam! 💜💜
