Our reporter Carmen Parahi catches up with a young rising rugby league star in the making and his whanau. Brandon Smith (Te Rarawa) has already signed a contract with the North Queensland Cowboys and despite his Australian start he will stay loyal to the Kiwis if he gets a chance.

  • Now he is one of the NRL's best players. Good on him. Only bigger and better things for this young man. Hopefully he will be a rugby league legend by the end of his career. If you ever read this Brandon, you my friend are already a bloody legend. Go hard mate. P.s. you should play for the knights.
