Thank you for the video guys, it's really helpful! I will take good care of the truck!
  • In the photo of the damaged U-Haul it looks like they misjudged the height of the truck going under a bridge, probably a local bridge. Either that or they had a run in with the Hulk.

the "Safemove" insurance isnt 20$ its 45$, but yeah probably worth it. skimping on that and then something happens you would regret it quite hard. driving any vehicle without insurance is never a good idea, even more so when the vehicle belongs to someone else.
  • I use to always pay the $11 a day for uhaul Collision / Damage Waiver for peace of mind. Now they changed the name of it to safemove and raised raised the price to $25 a day Thats more then the $19.95 a day Van rental fee. I'm going to check to see if my Credit Card cover a Uhaul van. My credit card does cover car insurance.

Thank you for the film. It was helpful for me to learn about rental insuarance. I need to pick up a large original part from the dealer (I requested and they agreed to give it to me back), particularly it is a subframe fm/our 2009 Nissan Sentra. Can someone advise, what U-haul truck or maybe dolly or appliance, would be better for this purpose? The distance is short, about 5-7 mi. Thank you again.

Actually it's the same cost as a regular moving company especially if you go with the bigger size, then you have to pay for the gas & pay someone to help load it & unload it nah I'll just get a regular moving company.

  • Hey great video! Iā€™m moving out of state, CA to MO. I donā€™t have much and it all could fit in a van. However, Iā€™m finding itā€™s hard to find a U-Haul that will rent a van for that move. Do they not rent vans or are they trying to make you rent a truck?
