This song speaks to the emotionally abusive marriage I was in. I left after 27 years, I just couldn’t take it anymore. It wasn’t all bad n when it was good it was really really good. I still love him with my whole heart. However I’m happy to be on my own. I been gone 10 years....not looking back, just reflecting while on coronavirus lockdown listening to all the oldies. I remember listening to this song in tears. It feels good today to listen without all the pain.

Been in a relationship for 15yrs since I was a young teen I’m 29 now lost my mom at 4 from pneumonia lost my dad at 8 to jail I have one son with this man and when I say he took me through HELL had 4 kids on me smh gave nothing but love and loyalty never cheated was there with him through it all and now I finally have enough strength to walk away I know im beautiful I know I can have anybody I want but when you unconditionally love somebody and gave them so much time that you can’t get back it’s easier to stay than leave im proud of myself bcuz not too many can im a medical assistant on my way to opening my first group home he know he fumbled me 🤷🏽‍♀️ im not healed yet but im on the way
