in 1945 my family was coming to California on freight trains , We got sidetracked and found ourselves in Corpus Cristie Texas , My sister got sick and had to be hospitalized a few days , in the same room was a little girl named Ida may Gabbard , she had been burned real bad , when we left they still didn't know if she would live or not , fast forward 20 years , I was in Oklahoma and met a guy named bob , He decided to come to Cali with me , we got to my Moms house in Modesto Ca , Sitting at the kitchen table my mom asked bob what his last name was , he said Gabbard , so she started telling him about little Ida may , he said "That is my oldest sister and Yes she lived and raised a family , After all those years my Mom learned little Ida May lived

I had the privilege of being raised where colour was, and still is, just pigmentation. My Mom always said we all have red blood and God created all of us.

So beautiful, got me all misty. By now, King and Walter are reunited with the King of Kings. Makes me remember the old hymn "When we all get to heaven, what a day of rejoicing that will be..." Wish this series would air again. We need stories of love & miracles more than ever! God bless.

The story about King Brooks was so touching, and the ending got my tears going. <3

What a heartwarming story about King Brooks. I can't imagine a world where the races are separated. I am so blessed to live in the age of the Civil Rights movement and we can work, play, make art, and worship together. Any other way seems profane.

Thanks, Richard Thomas, for years of great stories like these.

...and the story of the adopted girl finding her birth parents? Oh, my...I had tears in my eyes and could barely see the ending. I wish there were more stories like this in this day... People need to be uplifted, encouraged to be brave and morally upright.
