Gym leader: "are you going to attack me or not??" Player: 🕺💃

Hoenn: Trumpets Sinnoh: Piano Alola: Synth Galar: F A N S

The gyms may be "too easy" but i absolutely loved the idea that we were in like a STADIUM, we aren't just in a room we have fans and they cheer us on. Like Pokemon battles are treated like a sport now and i actually really love this idea :o
-
The crowd chant is what makes this theme better. Really makes you feel that there are people watching and cheering you and your opponent.
-
friend: ''Why do you dynamax at the end of the battle?'' Me: ''Its the law!''
-
You don’t dynamax until the crowd tells you to. I don’t make the rules, I just enforce em’.

One thing I really miss about this gen that’s not in gen 9 is the fact that in gen 8, your gym battles weren’t just a small gathering but rather a huge event in a massive stadium where people had to buy tickets to watch your battle like a real world football match. I get that that’s the point due to the fact that Galar is based on the UK, but I still wish that concept could’ve been brought over to the next generation.
-
I feel bad for the audience. They pay full price to watch a Pokemon battle live and it's over in 3 minutes
-
The guy with the whistle has some insane lung capacity
-
I already miss this, it’s the best gym leader theme ever imo
-
The beat from 2:40 onwards makes me think it’s the trainers own heartbeat as this plays while your in a menu, like thinking very hard.
-
When your pokemon dynamaxes: cricket noises When gym leader dynamaxes: OOOOAAAAAAAOAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAOAOAAAAAAAOAOAAAAAAAAAA
-
Me Tryna sleep at 2 am: The nearby gym: You may not sleep now there is a rave going on nearby
-
Whistle Guy's living his best life and no one can convince me otherwise.
-
Gym Leader: " Are you finished dancing yet? " The Player: 💃🎵🎉
-
This doesn't just sound good, it feels good. It really feels like I'm in a packed stadium, an underdog against a veteran, truly proving my strength. When the crowd starts chanting, there's so much impact.
-
2:36 I want to marry this transition.
-
i always loved the part that played when your pokemon fainted, it suddenly gets all tense as if it's saying "careful, you better not mess up now."
-
For all sword and shield's shortcomings, they did manage to make the gym battles and champion fight feel like true battles of honour and glamour. I haven't felt the same dopamine rush since Gen 5 and as much as I'd hate to admit it, Dynamax really does play a huge role in heightening that feeling. (And this banger theme of course). Gen 9, aside from the battle with Nemona, just feels like a business venture.
