Is the 2023 Chevrolet C8 Corvette Z06 a BETTER super car than a Porsche 911 GT3?

I personally own a C8 Z06 and I’ve never owned a corvette before. They just never interested me because of the other cars I’m used to driving. This car tho had the interior quality, looks and most importantly performance of all of my other cars. The new Z06 is the best car you can buy right now for the performance in my opinion and is amazing to drive!

This car is amazing. Seriously. I’m not a Chevy guy but what they’re doing with this gen of Vette is incredible. This one in black is sinister!!!!!

I have just one thing to say as a German born and a guy who works for German car Brands for years now: for example, Mercedes-Benz AMG deleted the front mid engine and transaxle setup 2 seater GT and developed a normal mounted engine/gear setup GT for the upcoming generation... corvette did exact the opposite thing... and I think that is a genius and brave move... german sport brands, please take some training and advice from the American guys and be brave again please... Great content as usual. Joe and his crew are the best in the business. As a owner of a C8 Z51 - the Z06 adds a dose of excitement to the C8. The Stingray lacks roll on get up and go in my opinion. Other than that - great car.

That flat plane crank makes a tremendous difference. It sounds like a completely separate car from the Stingray. More like a race car. Wow. Great review, as always, Joe!

I saw this same Z06 spec Sunday. It was coming around a tight corner a bit fast, but it took that curve so flat. Oh man, this thing is epic. It looks so much better than the regular Vette. That extra width and revised front fascia really transforms the Vette. It’s a buy!! I’m not crapping on a Porsche, but that GT3 optioned out will cost you $230K-$250K. A optioned out Z06 with dealer markup will be $165K-$170K out the door.

By far my first choice regardless of price. And black/black is what I want.

The rear spoiler is so much better that the Stingray wing, even tho it is subtle.

People will say "what do you need that much power for when you're going to mostly drive it on the street?" I will compare owning a high horsepower car to self-defense. I can personally say that when you train in self-defense, no matter what discipline, it provides a natural sense of confidence that you can handle yourself in practically any situation. I think the same can be said with sports cars or sedans with high horsepower. It provides that sense of confidence when driving and that enhances the driving experience you may otherwise never experience. Love that Chevy created the most badass V8 vehicle ever.
