  • For anyone wondering, this is the exact video you're looking for when shopping for any lens. Thank you so much!
  • @RVKevin
I only own the M50 and have been trying to understand what would work well for my budget, this is what i really wanted to know and YOU delivered in a big way. Thank you for making this video for us.
  • @halbourneutube
I've watched this video at least twice a month every 2 months since it came out. I've bought several of the recommended lenses and even bought lenses and then later realized that they were featured in this video. Great work Mark!

This content is top notch content from B-Roll to everything no sugar coating and he actually used them all to give real insight. I’m gonna look into that Viltrox 23MM F1.4 lens because Atleast 70% of my videos are filmed at night and the kit lens isn’t cutting it. I’m tired of that sort of grainy footage, the viltrox will be perfect to go along with my led light .

This was a masterclass, thank you for taking time to make this and provide the video/image examples. I appreciate it greatly!
  • @metalfatigue
Thanks so much. At last a video from somebody who knows what they're talking about. No unboxing, no "ultimate guide", just actual knowledge gained from experience. And I concur with all of it, except I haven't been as lucky with the 55-200. But you've enouraged me to try another one.
  • As another M6 MkII user, I really appreciate all your excellent and practical videos. Based on this video, I picked up the Rokinon 12mm f2 and a vintage Helios (with speed booster) and they're both wonderful. I'll just add one other for your consideration -- I recently got the Mitakon Zhongyi Speedmaster 35mm f/0.95 for M-mount for $300 and just love it. A manual lens but sharp in the centre wide open and by pushing down that f-stop really achieves the equivalent look of 56mm f1.4 on full frame with buttery smooth background bokeh -- a perspective which up until now has been elusive and not achieved by my Canon 32mm f1.4. Despite that our M system is likely going the way of the dodo, I now feel no pressure to upgrade for a full-frame look and have the sweet spot for quality on a budget. Thanks again for your work.

It is special when a video on youtube is so good you have to keep coming back to watch it over and over again !! Thanks for the content !!
  • @ChrisBaitson
Found this really useful. Just picked one up for video for my own channel. Nice to see the lens selection isn’t as small as I thought it was.
  • @Spootyskater
Thank you for this very detailed list of some incredible options. Those astronomy time lapses with the Meike 6.5 are absolutely gorgeous. I've personally been very impressed with the image quality (both photo and video) of the 55-200mm which just so happens to be the first additional lens I purchased for the M50.
  • @Kingcrab0
I recently picked up the 55-200mm lense and it is my favorite so far. I do a lot of wildlife photography and this has been such a help. I had picked it up after finding an osprey nest off of an old highway and I wasn't able to get close enough with the 15-45mm lense that came with my M200 to get a good shot of the osprey in it's nest. I still haven't caught it in it's nest since getting the lense but I keep going back every week to try. I've gotten many other great shots with it since I've been using it though. I love it.
  • This is literally the most helpful review of lenses that I’ve ever come across!! Thank you so much 🙌🏼

I bought me a M50 mark II with the 180-150mm zoom as the kit lens. This is such a useful range. I didn't go for the 15-45 and 55-200 kit because from my older days working with prime lenses I know that one always has the wrong lens on the body. Whatever I had on the camera was either just too short or just too long. The 18-150 doesn't give me such problems. I also bought the 11-22mm because I got it at an excellent price, new at 2/3 of the price. I am very happy with everything. It is an amazing camera. I especially like the size, low weight and versatility.
  • Excellent vid. Loved your passion and knowledge! I followed along with my m6 and canon, sigma and rokinon lenses! And learned some great stuff too. Thanks!
  • I have all efm lenses, but I watched this video because I was curious about other third-party lenses. I think it's a well-organized and useful video. Thank you.
  • @rekaszauter9443
This is the best video for anyone trying to decide what lens to choose for their camera who has no clue about different type of lenses. Thank you so much for this video. Helped me a lot!
  • @jjsifo1
This is definitely the video I needed to watch, really glad I found this channel.Kudos to you , man , thank you.
  • Thank you Mark. I have just bought a Canon M6 ii for use as a second camera and this is just what I have been looking for on lenses to use on it.
