"We live on a farm in an area called Sumas Mountain in Abbotsford, BC. We were standing on our porch when all the sudden a raven/crow landed on the ledge. It was obvious right away that he was very friendly! He was cawing for us to offer him food and water so we did. We pet him and he kept jumping up on our arms and shoulders, wanting us and allowing us to pet him. He then took off and a few moments and later flew back and came in our front door! He walked up the stairs and into our living room. Had a quick nap on our computer screen before going back to our porch. He sat at our window for hours until we went to bed watching us. I have pictures and videos of all of this. Was amazing"

That’s probably a baby Raven. They’re extremely intelligent birds. Had a “pet” magpie at a lake, it would fly up to you and sit and watch you but wouldn’t exactly let you touch it always. If you treat this bird right it will be around you for life. Sometimes these crows are more comfortable around people than living ordinary. Consider it a charm.
  • That's a fine little crow you got there so sweet and pitiful thank you for taking care of him you may never be free of him he might just decide to stay right there~€~

I wonder if he had been an orphaned baby bird, who had been brought up by a human, and had recently fledged, left the family home, got a bit lost, and was missing his foster family,...

When you know a bird is&feels happy around "his humans", take at look at his eyes 👀 when she's petting him, he closes them when she pets him!! Look how relaxed he is!!! Case closed.
  • Leave it something shiny. It'll bring you something shiny in return 😜

That’s a crow, not a raven :) Ravens have massive beaks

Heads up. Petting a bird anywhere beside it's head/neck may lead the bird to view you as a sexual partner. This is a bad thing for the bird, obviously.

Obviously NOT a wild raven. Very cute clip though
  • Raven is like me : eat a piece of cooked cow and doesn't touch the salad and broccoli. Good raven. He knows going vegetarian is bad for the planet because it kills the green stuff which grows everywhere and it also unflatten the Earth which is really bad because if it unflattens completely we're all going to fall.... except birds : they can just fly !
