It's crazy how fast plans can change on the open ocean 🤯 The only constant in a sailor's life is change, and today we found this to be as true as ever. After spending months in the safety of the Marquesas Islands of French Polynesia waiting for the cyclone season to pass, we were finally ready to get on the move again. Our plan was to make one last stop in Fatu Hiva which was only about 40 miles away. But once we got out underway, our plans quickly changed from a 40 mile day sail to a 400 mile open ocean crossing!

Sierra is having the kind of childhood along with experiencing how every set of parents should treat each other, that cannot be improved upon. Such a lucky little girl! You both are doing such a good job at raising her. Darcee

That nail color is definitely you Brian. Love to hear you are open to such things when you are having a daddy/daughter day! Can't wait to see you all in paradise next week.
  • I'm often amazed at the effort you both take to bring us amazing content. This episode highlights your attention to detail. Your drone shots of Delos are always great. But hiring and transporting 100 trained dolphins into French Polynesia to get those shots of them playing around Delos was just over the top! Great decisions deserve recognition.
  • My favorite saying is "Not All Who Wander Are Lost". Its the beauty of being free is the ability to be spontaneous. Awesome.

Brian looks so sweet with his turquoise nail varnish. 🤣
  • Great vid, as always. Love how Sierra is talking so much now. Out of the mouth of babes, our daughters, at that age, dimed us out, on our lack of dress, a few times as well! IT would be a fun way to sail. Continued safe travels. All the best. ⛵

Just loved that dolphin part! It touched my soul.

Kiril! Saw the “edited by”. Didn’t know he was still apart of the Delos family, cool. Been going back and watching your videos from episode 1, I’ve already seen the Africa videos where Kiril made his appearance. Now at the episode where you left Rio. Good times. I wish all is well!

We are not sailors but we do travel with an off road travel trailer. it is fully off grid travel trailer and we keep fully stocked ready for the next adventure. Planning trips is a big part of traveling. We have been doing this long enough that taking off on the spur of the moment can be great. Sometimes the weather is just right. We just returned from a rafting trip on the Owyhee River in Oregon. The area had exceptional snow pack and the water in the river was high. It was a great trip. With the good snow pack many areas now have water that in many years are dry. Thinking this would be a good time to head to the Warner Wetland for some canoeing. There could be some good paddling and bird watching if the winds are not too high. Keep up the good work.

Thanks for another joyous episode of your cruising lives. Thanks also, for the brief view of the Night Sky at 19:40. Living where I do, on the South Coast of the UK, skies clear enough to be able to see the stars, are few and far between, due to the Light Pollution of millions of street lights and homes. I really envy you all. Fair Winds, Russ.

Beautiful post. Delos looks awesome sailing in these conditions. Love the 360 cam shots. Sierra is such a delight. I often think of what her future holds after growing up with these experiences. Thanks for sharing your incredible journey.
  • Love the quote about change. We are powerless over people places and things. Change is a opportunity to free ourselves from our comfort zone, truly living. Love your channel, guys!
  • I am so glad that the Ramukanji song is back. This song makes Delos videos comfort videos for me

Aww I ❤ u guys!!! Your family bring my son and me so much joy. He will be 15 in a week and we are planing to buy a boat and sail by the time he is 17/18... We have sailing experience but we are a bit rusty, however your family and videos give us great hope to be able to hit the open ocean in no time..
