It's a shame they don't paint those fire trucks a bright colour or install some sort of flashing lights to warn approaching drivers.....oh wait.
  • @pvrs87
For those impatient people. The collision is at 22:10
  • @unofoxy_roxy
You hit a Hazmat truck and now you’re stuck and the people who’s job you made more difficult than it should’ve been have to help you out and it’s all being filmed and posted on YouTube for us to enjoy. Thank you.

    Insurance Company: YOU WHAT
  • @drussell710
They even positioned the hazmat truck at that angle to prevent a car from thinking it could sneak through and yet still a car ended up wedged between the two trucks! Inconceivable!!
  • @MerlinKernow75
I wonder how that car driver is going to explain that one to the insurance company.
  • @jollyg83
And that is why the steel bumper reigns supreme on apparatus.
  • So the stupidity of people out there no longer surprises me after my years in EMS and fire services... but I will say I’m impressed. Very impressed. It takes a very special special person to wedge a car in like that. Grateful no one on scene was injured. Remember brothers and sisters, these people are out there. Wear your gear no matter the weather or scene conditions. Be aware of your surroundings at all times and watch each other’s backs. Be safe out there and God Bless.

Oops, didn't see all those emergency vehicles with lights flashing (at twilight) because i was too busy texting... And I just love the firefighters comment @23:06 "Looks like we're having a 2 for 1 special..."
  • @insomnia20422
When the firefighters call their chief: "Chief... You wont believe what just happened..."
  • @tobarstep
Firefighter who never gets to play with the cool toys: Hang on, we've got the jaws of life ! Other firefighter who just wants to get back to his warm bed: You know this door back here still opens, right?
  • @Kid574
This is a great example of why you must always use the vehicles as a physical safety barrier to protect your workers/rescuers on scenes
  • Now that is the definition of getting yourself stuck between a rock and a hard place.
  • @XJLuxury
It is absolutely insane how much went into that call. You had the firemen and the police, then we had the street sweeper and then the "salt" truck. Crazy!

After operating EMS in New York City nothing surprises me anymore. This one however is quite special. New Yorkers worked really hard to get the reputation they have, and when you see how many ignore fire trucks or ambulances and even police cars because they just have to get somewhere.... It's not surprising but it never ceases to amaze me.
  • @steveroe5957
As a famous person once said "stupid is as stupid does" but this is a whole new level of stupid.... but total respect for the emergency services of NYC
  • Oh Thank God the engine is ok..was so worried..😇🙏 prayers to my brothers of NYFD and a fast recovery on touch up paint on H1M..😊
  • @Combat556
“Like a moth to the flame” definitely applies to this incident.
  • I thought what ever those sticky blobs used to seal the fuel tank was pretty cool but then @ 31:10 they are using wax from a toilet seal to completely seal it. Such a simple and inexpensive fix, that is thinking outside the box. You guys are not just good at your job, you are above and beyond. Stay safe. Respect.
