Very informative, we had a lot of rain here in Houston today, hopefully we stay with power when these storms come closer, our power grid was hit hard with a tornado a few weeks ago. Some people still don’t have power.

I am going to Seagrove beach next week hope it’s good weather

Severe weather day after day in Louisiana. Power was out last night. My yard can`t be mowed and grass is two feet tall in places.

And already there are three waves that came off the coast of Africa usually we see around 55 to 65 waves a year but I do want to remind everybody that not every wave becomes a storm. And I have a bad feeling this could be another top 10 season. And with the number of name storms forecasted the threat for landfall probability goes up. At this time I’m forecasting 4 to 6 impacts/landfalls in the United States. If you haven’t prepared yet, you still have time, but I would advise you to get prepared by early to mid August when the meat and the potatoes of the season come when we see those waves come off the coast of Africa usually Senegal. There has been talks of making a potential category six hurricane. One place that’s also vulnerable is Key West Florida to a beautiful area but it’s only a few feet above sea level if God forbid they had a category 4 or 5 Hurricane it could be submerged underwater. and because of rising sea levels due to climate change, some cities could be underwater by the year 2100.

I have hurricane preps but it`s never enough when the power is out for weeks in the Louisiana heat and mosquitoes. I did get a sealed mesh mosquito dome to sit in outside and a tent to sleep in if I can`t charge my solar batteries for air conditioning. If it`s cloudy I`ll need to conserve battery/generator power for my freezer or to use a small fridge for cold drinks. Or I may throw the freezer food to the buzzards if I can`t cook it and focus on staying cool.
