TAZ is a Text Articulating Max for Live Device for Ableton Live. This device reads text in locators in Arrangement View and clip names in Session View specially designated with a leading asterisk using the OS X text-to-speech voices loaded on your computer. Because the Mac OS X text-to-speech voices speak in different languages, TAZ is only limited by the voices you have installed in your computer. Version 1.6 now allows you to use TAZ in session view!

TAZ is a Max For Live device designed to help playback engineers and music directors with fast and flexible in-ear-monitor cues. TAZ uses locator names specially designated with an asterisk to instantly generate synthesised speech in your Ableton Live set. Since TAZ uses the voices built into your Mac text-to-speech library, the voice and language options are only limited to the voices you have downloaded and installed on your computer.

If you name a locator (in Arrangement View) or a clip (in Session View) like this:

* We Are the World. In G

TAZ will speak that text back as Live’s transport playhead passes or the clip launches.

Hi... I've been recommended Taz to be able to see the titles of the songs better and organize my sets... I haven't been able to find a video with a full walk through on what the app can do and how to use it. Any chance you could publish one soon? Thx
