    It should be pointed out that the Green M&M was made "sexy" as a joke because there was a longstanding urban legend throughout the 70s and 80s that the green dye in M&Ms was an aphrodisiac. One company even sold green candy coated chocolate candies under the title "The Green Ones" until they were sued by M&M/Mars. Finally, M&M's embraced the urban legend by making a "sexy" green M&M character.
