  • @Pompompurrin
I love her theme and her design but I wish her battle was more challenging.
  • @Xman34washere
When we finally get XY remakes do not hold anything back with her. Make her AI so powerful we beg for mercy.
  • @_V.Va_
Diantha is really underrated as hell. She's pretty, is famous, and has good taste in Pokémon. She...just wasn't much of a challenge. A shame, really.
  • @mattwells3390
the ONLY reason it took me 2 hours to beat her was because of this absolutely badass theme. after that i sneezed and i was champion
  • @ShycoWar
If you ask me, people can hate on Diantha all they want ; it won't change the fact that she definitely looks the part for a Champion, has a powerful and extremely fitting signature Pokémon, and boasts one of the better battle themes in the series.
  • @UndernetChara
This is still one of the most underrated battle themes in the entire franchise. I love it.
  • @summerrose7839
I liked her as a champion. I just wish she played a bigger role in the game. 😕
  • @wand2904
Diantha theme and the whole XY ost need more love
    Nice one
  • WARNING: Long comment ahead. Read at your own risk.

Here's my attempt at making Diantha's "Ultimate" Team, exported from Pokemon Showdown:

    Gardevoir-Mega (F) @ Gardevoirite
    Ability: Trace
    EVs: 248 HP / 148 Def / 112 SpA
    Quiet Nature
    IVs: 0 Atk / 0 Spe
    - Hyper Voice
    - Psyshock
    - Shadow Ball
    - Trick Room

    Tyrantrum (M) @ Choice Band
    Ability: Rock Head
    EVs: 252 HP / 252 Atk / 4 Def
    Brave Nature
    IVs: 0 Spe
    - Head Smash
    - Outrage
    - Earthquake
    - Dragon Claw

    Aurorus (M) @ Never-Melt Ice
    Ability: Refrigerate
    EVs: 252 HP / 252 SpA / 4 SpD
    Quiet Nature
    IVs: 0 Atk / 0 Spe
    - Hyper Voice
    - Freeze-Dry
    - Ancient Power
    - Stealth Rock

    Gourgeist-Super (F) @ Leftovers
    Ability: Frisk
    EVs: 252 HP / 252 Def / 4 SpD
    Relaxed Nature
    IVs: 0 Atk / 0 Spe
    - Toxic
    - Synthesis
    - Leech Seed
    - Foul Play

    Goodra (F) @ Assault Vest
    Ability: Sap Sipper
    EVs: 252 HP / 164 Def / 56 SpA / 36 SpD
    Quiet Nature
    IVs: 0 Atk / 0 Spe
    - Dragon Pulse
    - Flamethrower
    - Surf
    - Thunderbolt

    Hawlucha (F) @ Sitrus Berry
    Ability: Unburden
    EVs: 76 HP / 252 Atk / 180 Spe
    Adamant Nature
    - Substitute
    - Acrobatics
    - High Jump Kick
    - Swords Dance

The Strategy: Since no one would expect it in a "competitive" setting, especially in Singles, lead with Gardevoir and set up Trick Room. Now all of Diantha's Pokemon are "fast" and go first almost all the time, and you're opponent (hopefully) took the bait and switched into a counter Pokemon to your "hyper-aggressive Lead Sweeper" Gardevoir. The EVs are for in case the enemy doesn't fall for the bait and just attacks you with whatever Pokemon they have out first.

Tyrantrum is your Wall Breaker, with Choice Band STAB Head Smash and Maximum Attack investment. With Trick Room, he's an absolute monster. Not much else to say, have fun deleting other Pokemon.

Aurorus has Refrigerate, which turns Hyper Voice into an Ice type move with 108 Power, which gets further boosted by the Never-Melt Ice. Freeze Dry is used against Water Types and is also boosted by Never-Melt Ice, Ancient Power gets boosted by STAB to 90 Power and is used for the potential Scum Boost, and Stealth Rock is for if you have an opportunity to set them up.

Goodra has Assault Vest to make her super specially defensive, and the moves are selected to provide as much type coverage as possible. There are no Pokemon that resist all of the moves, except Mega Alteria. The EVs are for complicated reasons, but the gist is that they allow Goodra to survive attacks from big threats in the metagame, including 2 Moonblasts from Tapu Fini, a Tectonic Rage from Garchomp, or 2 Smart Strikes from Kartana.

Gourgeist is running a physical defensive set, with max Defense investment, Toxic to use against other walls, Synthesis and Leech Seed + Leftovers for recovery, and Foul Play to use against Physical attackers, which gets more powerful the higher the enemy attack stat is. Will-o-wisp over Toxic could be considered because it cuts enemy Attack, but it unfortunately has anti-synergy with Foul Play, so it's up to your own personal preference.

Once Trick Room expires, use Hawlucha to clean up sweep. Switch Hawlucha into a Pokemon it checks, like a Chansey, then use Substitute as the enemy Pokemon switches out. Use this opportunity to use Swords Dance, while the enemy Pokemon breaks your Substitute. Once that happens, use Substitute Again to activate your Sitrus Berry, and Unburden. Congratulations, you now out-speed every other Pokemon in the game. Have fun.

An alternative set for Hawlucha uses Sky Attack and a Power Herb instead of Substitute and a Sitrus Berry, but it's really up to personal taste. I prefer Substitute, as it helps set up the Swords Dance, but if you find yourself running into lots of Dragapult w/ Infiltrator, then consider using the Sky Attack Power Herb set instead.

If you noticed, I didn't include a Z-Move on this team. That is simply because there are no Pokemon on this team that can really take advantage of a Z-Move without sacrificing something else, like Goodra's Assault Vest, and I couldn't decide for myself where to put one, so I just left it as it is. I'd Imagine the best Pokemon to put a Z-Crystal on would be Aurorus with Icium Z, but I'll leave that decision up to whoever decides to try using this team.

In any case, if you decided to read this far, thanks for taking the time to do so. I hope you have a good day, and good luck in your future Pokemon battles. :)

    EDIT: Fixed some spelling mistakes.

The Pokémon games wouldn’t be what they are today if it wasn’t for the music.
  • @pokeblue596
I would love to see a Kalos Remake or Sequel, hell even a game where you visit Kalos. The region had so much untapped potential, it could have been one of the best regions. If Game Freak ever decides to revisit Kalos, I really hope they do it justice cause I really wanted Kalos to be amazing but it just wasn’t able to live up to its predecessor, Unova (the best region imo)
  • One of the best battle themes in the franchise and you nailed the remix perfectly!
  • @Aeosynum
WHOS HERE AFTER X AND Y REMAKES
  • @cloudwyrms9752
Easy Champion, but I still love her battle theme. It sounds very whimsical and magical, especially at 0:58 to 1:20. ^_^
  • @zedz4397
tbh the musics in x&y are legitly badass
  • @bluehawk7
Everyone talking about how easy she is in the games.

Can we take a moment to talk about how powerful she is in the anime she’s able to communicate with gardevior just by blinking and the fact that gardevior can just teleport to dodge attacks is insane.
  • @Giranite
My first ever champion fight so NOSTALGIA
