I was watching this video after just waking up. My mom called me so I got up pretty fast, I had a head rush and after taking a step or two, I fell down, flat on my face, breaking both of my front incisors in half. That happened 2 years ago. I passed out for like 5 seconds and came back thinking I had been lying there for an hour. What I was told was that my parents heard a loud thud and went to investigate, finding me flat on the hard tile floor with a chipped piece of my tooth lying beside me.

Cough, lucid dreaming cough.

Tbh, if you can seperate the two 'realities' and still function here, while being healthy about 'interactions with your DR', it's chill. Whatever helps you function, as long as you're not harming others or yourself in the process. If going off to Naruto Land in your dreams to kiss Sasuke makes you happy, vibe, man. Just don't get carried away and try to full-on escape there. You're a tourist to your DR, not a refuge of your CR trying to move in permanently to your DR. Heck, even I do it on rare occasions, to influence my dreams, as it's one of the few times my Aphantasia kind of bugs off if I do it right. It's nice to feel like I just get to vibe and interact with my favorite worlds like that, feeling like it's real. And while I don't exactly doubt the multiverse theory stuff, I don't think your dreams are a portal to other realities, even if all you've done in said dream could have happened in another universe technically speaking. They're just neat pictures your mind makes while bored or sorting things into boxes, hah. Tl;dr, I agree. Manip your dreams, parallel universe thought is neat, but don't actually think you went there. Keep your head straight ^^'

I used to be friends with this girl who genuinely believed that shifting realities was real and when she saw this video she acted as if her whole family was killed💀

Revisiting this after a couple years, reminds me of us kids who seriously hoped that our futures would be less abusive than the present that we had. This can happen when an area or country you live in stigmatizes mental health and sometimes tells kids in bad situations to just get over it and make nice. I can hope now that there are better resources out there that my friends, my sister and I never had as options. Or that some still don't have as options...
