The largest population of the world is going to the polls. Green growth and dirty coal, Prime Minister Modi was pushing for both in recent years. Despite being highly impacted by climate change there is little excitement for green policies.

Germany increased its coal production after shutting down its nuclear production !
  • @InsightGrid620
India is doing good in renewable despite its low per capita income

  • @deesiInGermany
The amount of plastic in Germany I used in last 5 year is must be twice that I used in India over 30 years.

I think Germany should be more worried about the Demographic change due to immigration in their own country rather than giving lecture about the climate change to India 😁😂😁😂

DW seems to be obsessed with India 😂

Climate change don't play a big role in India because India is leading the way in achieving UNFCCC Paris agreement set in COP21. Far ahead of these western country and definitely much ahead of Germany. So mind your business and work on your part which seems missing rather than lecturing others on it.

Moral policing and cherry picking. India has 17 percent of worlds population so it should technically emit 17 percent of worlds greenhouse gases but it only emits 7 percent. On the one hand you are telling to get rid of poverty in India and on the other hand you are telling to deindustrialise. I think DW needs to get its agenda straight that 3rd world countries should remain in absolute poverty so that 1st world can emit as much as they can.
  • @essee3984
US has 1/4th the population of India and yet 2X the emissions which means the carbon footprint of an avg American is 8 times that of an Indian
  • @Editsdevil
If you take india carbon emissions from its independence then we do not stand in top 30 And if you compare it with per person carbon emissions we don't stand at top 50 Why you always lecture us , when every country uses coal for economic development it's good and when we uses its is called as climate disaster Hypocrisy is next level
